Is it as good as the pictures?

You've seen the pics, but you're wondering if there are just four spectacular holes and the rest is a potato field.... let me set your mind at rest. Absolutely stunning, the whole thing. By miles the most spectacular clifftop course in the U.K., which is to say in the world. Seriously more scenic than Turnberry, you can see the sea from all 27 (28) holes, even the new nine. The only regular criticism seems to be the public path down the middle of the old nine. Sure, if you're a nervous nelly who is going to be put off by one man and his dog, you're gonna struggle, but my advice is just go with the flow, if you hit someone deny everything. The course really needs some wind, not much rough and mostly flat large greens, bunkers inconsistent and the clubhouse is not exactly Trump central (no fountains) but functional enough. Play it. Drink in the views. Take some selfies.

Fabulously scenic course. Greens were excellently kept and challenging. Service in pro shop was great.

One note (which is not the fault of the course/club) - Garmin do not provide yardage for the Old 9.

Superb golf course in the most beautiful and dramatic setting. The panoramic views from every hole were breath taking and definitely one of the most fun courses I have played. Lives up to europes answer to pebble beach! The holes along "the point" are challenging in the wind but accurate tee shots are rewarded with short approach shots. Hard not to enjoy a round here even if playing badly. Always worth bringing a few extra balls though as the sea is ready to swallow any wayward shots.

Excellent all round course with brilliant views. Helped by the fact their was virtually no wind. Price for a round could be looked at and the website needs working on

Always been on the hit list and well worth the visit. Played the Front/Old course. Front 9 spectacular, great views all around. Some nice holes like par 4 second and short par 4 8th. Quite hilly in parts. Old nine is a must if first time playing Nefyn, very quirky. Heads out from the clubhouse all along the peninsular, again quite hilly in places. Some great holes like par 4 4th and par 3 5th. Footpath rums alongside most holes and very busy with walkers so be prepared to be watched. Everyone should visit Nefyn at least once

Great golf course with spectacular views around. The Point is a must to play but be careful of the passing public using the costal paths

Staying in Bala, had the course recommended to us; ecstatic we played there!
Course was in great condition, not long but with the wind, cliffs and rough that swallowed balls it made for a great challenge.
I preferred playing the front 9, but the back 9 is just amazing for the scenery.
Some of the tee boxes are close to the greens so have to be careful.
Enjoyed it so much, we actually went back as well to play a few days later!
Food in the clubhouse was excellent also

Glorious day, you could see to Ireland. Played as a courtesy as Conwy was closed. I have mixed feelings about the point, 13, 14 15 16 and 17 are wonderful holes, the rest are average and 10 is bad. You have to be constantly aware of the walkers which can be very off putting. Made very welcome and excellent meal.
