The front 9 is in great condition, nice plush fairways, great greens, well positioned bunkers, brilliant layout.
The point is brilliant fun, very much unlike anywhere Ive ever played seeing as you play on the peninsula.
My one and only qualm with the course is the greens are different on the point to the rest of the course, still undulating but not quite the same quality.
Its still an absolute must to play and gets a solid 9/10, worth the 2 and a half hour drive without a doubt

wow what views
My brother in law is a great golfer and plays here at least once a year. I played for the first time and can see why he plays. OK there are better quality courses but I have never played anywhere like it. Some of the holes that hug the shore line are amazing. On the 'Front' I loved 3 and 4 that followed the shoreline. But then coming back on 6-8 the mountains as the backdrop are incredible.Moving to the 9 holes on The Point - very quirky. The 1st is very strange with such a blind 2nd up and over the hill. Lots of par 3s but the best hole is certainly the Pebble beach style 4th which dog legs left. Great fun driving over the gorge needing a 200+ yard carry...not for the faint of heart. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it. When i return i will try the 'New' nine instead of the Point - but the Point has to be played for the fun of it. (For any nature lovers we enjoyed pausing to watch some seals basking on rocks in the bay by the 6th tee.....not something you can claim to see at many home courses :-)

A stunning course played in the glorious sunshine and no wind. The course is a different prospect in the wind & rain.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.2)

Stunning Setting
Views are terrific, some super holes and in very good condition 2 days after the course was shut for heavy snowGreens on the Front and New are very good as I guess these are a little more protected.
Well worth the trek, Stunning views and good layout prove a good test of golf and a lot of entertainment.

Dissapointing
The club advertises the course to visitors with pictures of the peninsula ('point') part of the course. There are nice views but, believe me, it is not worth the pain of the time it takes to play that part of the course. It took ages to play and spoilt our round.Reviewer Rating

Stunning
Played all 3 'loops'The Old and Front are the better 2 as they both run along the cliffs and around the peninsular so offer some stunning views and golf.
The course itself is quirky and have a good layout but beware of the walkers (they personally didn't bother me)
A must play if your in the area.

Special location worth visiting to play
Lucky enough to play all 3 9s so had the full Nefyn experience playing the front and old 9 twice over 2 days. The course is in an amazing location on the North coastline of the Lleyn penisular with some fantastic views due to the location of Nefyn and with the old course extending out into the almost another mini penisular which it is famous for. So firstly this is a course that should be on everyone's list to experience the location, setting and views !The club is super friendly with an excellent hospitality from the staff within the clubhouse and the pro shop. Practice facilities were also very good with a putting area, 3 bay range and some outdoor bays. Clubhouse a little dated but ok and you are visting for the course anyway. When we played in Aug 2017 we found the course in pretty decent condition although the greens on the old weren't quite as good as those on the front and new but good nonetheless.
The new - decent layout with lots of hole variations but my least favourite of the 3 9s. This 9 is slightly more inland but you still get exposed to the elements and the wind comes into play.
The front - this is the links part with holes 2 - 5 hugging the coast line and providing a great test of golf. This was probably my favorite of the 9s (handicap 18) due to the layout, test on offer and my ability to play the course. Nice variation of holes and in excellent condition with some great views through out the round.
The old - you just have to play this to experience this but be warned it is tough on 2 fronts. Firstly this is the famous 9 that goes out on the mini penisular towards the lighthouse and then back again so the views are pretty awesome and the conditions can be tough if the wind gets blowing. The tougher of the 2 challenges is actually avoiding the walkers on the main path to the beach, beach bar and RNLI facilities. The first 1st and 9th play either side of the start of the main path, the 3rd and 8th come back with the path on the side and the 6th plays up towards the path - so you really need to be on your game, walkers tend to ignore shouts of fore ! That said, this is a course that you just have to play at least once and I was fortunte enough to play twice. It is also quite a short 9 so you don't need your driver that often but useful if you take the tiger line on the 4th across the cliff top. Pretty quirky set of 9 holes but this is due to the setting and where the holes are located which actually makes this pretty special and a must play bucket list course.
All in all an excellent course well worth a visit but watch out for the walkers on the old, they pop up everwhere ! you do also get the odd walker on the front but these tend to stick to the coastal path and no where the same in number as the old.
If you are thinking of a trip to play golf in Wales get this one on your list.

The "Peninsula Course". Nefyn again.
Right ok. Where do I begin. The front 9 (yellow) is quite simply some of the best 9 holes of golf that I've played. Second only to the back 9 of the Old Course. Absolutely stunning. Immaculate golf course with amazing scenery. 10/10.Now to the "Old Nine". The peninsula course (Blue). The one that everybody looks at on the website. Probably the reason you're reading this review now.
DONT PLAY IT. It is not a Golf course. It is a track for walkers, beach goers, dog walkers and the general public with a few blue flags dotted around. Golf is near impossible. There should be more emphasis by the club to inform golfers of this fact especially when you're paying a minimum of £48.00 to play and in our case driving 2 and a half hours to get there. I realise that the golf club have no power over the general public on public land even if it does go right through the golf course but if I had been told to what extent the public encroach on your game I would have chosen not to play that course. This is exactly why the club have built another 9 holes, presumably to appease their members.
It spoilt my round and my day. I left the course very annoyed and vowing never to return.
I don't want kids running across my fairway as I'm about to hit an approach shot.
I don't want dogs off leads running across my green as I'm about to putt.
I don't want people shouting in my back swing.
I don't want sarcastic comments by topless men when I'm standing in a bunker.
I don't want to be teeing off worrying about how many people I'm going to put in the A&E that afternoon.
It honestly got that ridiculous after 4 holes (13 overall) we decided to scrap our competition and just play to get the round over as quick as we could.
My advice would be to play the old nine and the new nine and give the peninsula nine a miss. There comes a point where the scenery and views become irrelevant when you're that frustrated over the state of affairs on the golf course. Besides the other courses have more than enough scenery to blow you away. The peninsula course should be offered as a freebie when you pay for the other 18 in my opinion or closed as a golf course and left as a public path to the beach which is pretty much what it is anyway.
