Stunning test of golf pays to hit fairways as hilly/uneven lies everywhere else, fitness helps on this long strenuous beast with mature trees and amazing fast but very true greens well worth a knock

played the lakes course after several days of heavy rain... some places were a tad damp but overall the course was fantastic ,,hard ,,and a bloody tough walk ..no signature hole to speak of ,,, mainly because all 18 were top notch ...greenkeepers said its not in good nick because of the weather,,,,jesus ,,going back in 2 weeks to find out god knows how good and tough this course is at its best ,,,,,and for £22.50 bargain

Wow, what a fantastic course.

£17.50 for a course of this quality on a weekend was incredible value. We Booked on tee off times and were told on arrival that we had a complimentary bucket of balls on the driving range and a free coffee.

We played the lakes course (1-18). It was fantastic and required you to plot your way round the course rather than just whack it as far down as you can.

Beautiful surroundings. The staff we came across in the pro shop and the 'water hole" were very welcoming despite us being first timers. Cannot wait to go back and play the other 9 holes.

Excellent course with 27 holes all good and challenging. Booked with pro shop and a tee time before 9am was only £19. we played the first 18 the Lakes course and then the holes 19-27 in the afternoon. Green excellent 10.5 on the stint meter and it was wet. would recommend a visit.

Played here twice and both times I've been impressed. played all 27 holes and you see the difference in all the nines. Tight fairways meaning accuracy is the key, well kept greens and it's very much a thinkers course. You need to be on your game here to score well.

Fantastic course, it was 12 on the stint meter when I played there. Big greens but not easy, a really good diversity of holes, but not cheap.

A gem of a course.every hole will test your skill to the max.secret of the course is position don't need to be long.greens could ruin your round lots of tiered greens or steep slopes. the faint hearted should buggy a real hard walk. thoroughly enjoyed it even though my golf was not up to the course.once again my driver got me into trouble put it away on back nine and did much better.

Absolutely fantastic course, incredible greens and fairway quality. It is an undulating and gratifyingly challenging course. Great club atmosphere. There is no a new Pro who has added so much much flavour to the whole affair. Would recommend this club to all players.

A true test

Played in the Minzuno singles competition off the white tees, great experience. Course was immaculate, lots of fall ways on the fairways some of which hide deep rough and ditches, knowledge of these is key. Greens protected by enormous but not particularly deep bunkers. The greens themselves run true, contoured to fall away if not pin high. All together a super course.
