Played on 1st July & greens were heavily sanded- possibly the slowest I have ever putted on.\ Tees uncut & chewed up.\ Clover everywhere on fairways.\ Course layout poor.\ Never again.

Not worth the money

Great location and was optimistic to start. Caught in the middle of two fantastic golf courses. A middle price too but not worth ?30. Chose to play this having not played it before. Fairways were OK but could do with a cut. Greens on first 10 were not great. Could do with a cut and more attention.

Was down in Cornwall for the week. Played Newquay and Merlin on consecutive days, which really highlighted the difference;
Course variety in holes
Course conditions
Price

Newquay has a elevation and differing holes, Merlin is generally up and backs.Newquays course and greens were good and constant, Merlins had standing water all over the course and even greens!!
Newquay was cheaper, and we were only allowed to use the buggy for 12 holes but had to play full price.
I don't think I have ever been so disappointed in a round of golf.
Value for money, 0 stars.

don't bother over priced played it thought it was too expensive
use other courses nearby better value for money
even a member told me it was over priced during my round have to agree with him
staff very unhelpful need to learn customer care if you want people to return
i got the impression they are financial in trouble
go else where ???

Lawn mower was broken so grass was long, we weren’t informed prior to teeing off, long story short, over priced. Looks like they are used to tourists and taking them for granted. Shame, maybe we didn’t see the course at its best……………don’t take tourists for granted.

Course was virtually empty when I teed off at 5.15 for a £18 twilight round. Apart from no1, the other four par 3's are good with no 14 the real stand out.

However, there are far too many blind or semi blind shots especially on 6,8,10,11,13 and 16. Together with fast, hard and some sloping fairways, ball control is necessary to shoot close to par. The greens and their approaches was similarly fast, so some guess work involved.

However, the scenery was nice, as was the welcome; but the course was over priced for the normal rate of £25.

Paid £18 for a twilight round; course appears wide open but the rough and gorse is thick. Far too many blind or semi blind shots, such as 6, 8, 10, 11, 13 & 16. Greens and approaches were very fast, so getting near the flag was mostly guess work.

Apart from the first, the other four Par 3's are good, with 14th the pick. All three par five's play downwind, so are reachable. £18 is a fair price.

The winds made this a more interesting course, and the back nine had more interesting holes

A fairly new course which is very open and exposed to the elements. Today it was extremly windy, & difficult to keep your ball on the fairway.
The greens were in a good condition, but the fairways needed cutting. Lot of people on the course and lots of holiday makers. Which kept play slow.

Decent

Decent for the twilight rate of ?27. Greens are ok, quality of the tee markings was very disappointing (think first cut rough). Wouldn't pay full price green fee.

Never know what to make of Merlin some holes are fab with good layout, others need maintenance work and especially the rough and gist ways just are barely mowed back fairway might as well be rough at times and rough is penal often lose ball as several inches deep and unplayable
Great location and views shame above sometimes let's it down
