Played for 2nd time today, this time we got a buggy which is essential! Course was in excellent condition and staff and other players on the course really friendly. Will definitely be back again soon.

Tricky little course, not long, but tricky. It was in great nick despite a rough winter. Played here with the work golf society and would definitely go back. Although at £30 a round midweek and the fact I would strongly suggest hiring a buggy, it could be a bit on the expensive side. The food was OK and the clubhouse was really nice.

Played today and the course was very, very soggy underfoot. Apparently it had been ok two days ago but could not cope with 2 nights of very heavy rain. We played off mats, which are provided if you don't have your own. The greens were surprisingly true given the amount of water they were holding. I am sure the course will be much improved when it is dry.

The course itself is not for the faint hearted and it is very, very hilly. There are some flat holes on the course but from memory they are mainly the Par 3's.

Good value for money at £20 each on 2-4-1. A well stocked Pro Shop and good food and drink in the bar.

Sat nav directions were accurate but you do wonder if you have gone wrong when road becomes a single track.

Course has some reasonably severe inclines but only 1 blind tee shot. We played on the afternoon of 23rd July and there was a stiff breeze at times which made for interesting shot selection. It is not always a case of pulling out the "big dog" from the tee, especially on the 374 (yellow) yard downhill 13th. The local received wisdom is to hit a strong 8 iron and watch it run,

Fairways and greens were all in reasonable nick and we had a very interesting afternoon's golf with the course presenting a fair challenge for golfers with our handicaps (24 to 28).

warning: please be careful using your tomtom going here. Thought i was going to be one of the people in the paper who ended up abandoned in the middle of nowhere.

nice greens, nice course. tougher than the card suggested due to the hilly nature
