Two friends and I visited this Golf Course for an overnight stay and a round of Golf on 2-3 March 2016.

The Course - I am only an enthusiastic golfer but the course was challenging for the three of us. Obviously it has been very wet over the winter but the course was playable with lots of work from the green keepers to get the course as drained as possible and the greens were tended with the aim to make them as playable as possible. Plenty of water hazards and bunkers around the course make it very interesting and the best thing that came out my round was the charitable donations that resulted from me finding the the Club Captains Charity Bunker both rounds.

Loved the Pie shop after the 9th.

BB&EM and "Pod" Accommodation. New for this season the Pods sleep two or three, and have en-suite showers. The are warm, the beds very comfortable and room stylish with a large screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We were lucky as we were the very first people to stay in this accommodation .

The food, which was served in the Club House, was excellent just right after an afternoon round of golf. Yesterday it rained, snowed and was very windy so the Tomato soup warmed us immediately. Main course of cottage pie, vegetables and chips, yes proper chips not fries or oven chips, was tasty and we finished off with apple crumble and custard all piping hot. The full English breakfast, was a brilliant way to start the day before we got out onto the course for our second round of golf

Thank you chef.

Bar prices were very reasonable and the beer went down well. The atmosphere was relaxed and there was a good number of people using the facilities and unwinding after their days achievements on the course.

Staff- We met a lot of friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived in reception we were warmly welcomed, shown our accommodation and informed of what was available to us at the course and the surrounding area. You all were a credit to your organisation.

Would I stay here again? Definitely we are planning to come back during the summer with a larger group.

The course is good for the price. Bunkers are OK.

Just please, sort out the bog that is the 15th. It's been bad for years now. Don't just put it under GUR.

As for the speed of play, there's no considerarion given to other golfers. We've had to skip holes just because of a thoughtless group in front holding everyone up.

good round again at the club . 15 th GUR boggy near the green
the course could have some more drainage work around some holes but on the whole the course is well worth the money
this course has different difficulties from the eaasy par on the 1st to the 14the with a dogleg and pond protecting the green

The course seems to hold water in a lot of places, even after a rew days without rain. The 3rd, 8th, 13th and 15th fairways can still squelch when walking them and a good drive plug. Some of the greens have 2 or 3 levels and are an interesting challenge. The bunkers are not deep anywhere on the course so do not spoil your round. If you are accurate off the tee and kèep the ball in play, the course is not too difficult, but if we could all do that on every hole on every course it wouldn\\\\\\\'t be such a rewarding or frustrating sport! At the current price and availability of tee times, it is a good and value for money course.\\\\

Played on A Sunday afternoon, good test of holes may need some variation as there are a lot of holes at the 350-370 yds range. Fairways and greens need a cut although acceptable for late October. staff and people all very polite. Excellent value for money £18 a round - one unexpected challenge - the volume of leaves falling from the trees can make the ball hard to find even on the green - overall very good vfm.

Great Value

An interesting and challenging layout. Some great elevation changes and good greens to play into.
Good condition, given the amount of recent rain. Great Value for money.

Course is a good layout. Greens improving and will be a long process as these things don’t happen overnight. Clubhouse and members friendly, lack of changing facilities gives this course a lower score
