Course Review
The layout here is decent but the condition of the course leaves a lot to be desired. The fairways are lacking grass and the tees are shabby. The greens are a 6/10 at best. The bunkers are by far the worst part of the course. Several should be roped off as GUR and the fact they are not leads to some farcical situations.Reviewer Rating

Sadly on the day we saw it, there was little else to recommend it. Greens were extremely bare and rock hard, I presume deliberately since other courses(especially next door Lundin) keep their putting surfaces somewhat lusher and more receptive in dry spells. A test, certainly, just not one I can imagine many average players would enjoy.
I didn't notice any bunkers with rivetted faces, despite the claims by the club. The sleeper bunker in front of the last green is dilapidated. The starters hut is scrufffy and next to a down at heel amusement arcade. The warm up nets are pathetic pieces of scaffolded rubbish, no range that I could see but a 40 yard chipping area that you wouldn't walk your dog on. A couple of people decided to cycle across the fairway (?) and people were walking across the greens nearest the clubhouses.
None of which should completely spoil your day, if as a visitor you had paid perhaps £30, but we were charged £70, and not on a weekend. Yes Fife is expensive, but at that price, most things really have to be spot on. I think the course has to decide if it wants visitors, because the four of us felt this was the biggest rip off in several years of touring British courses.

Would like to return......
Have to say that the fairways were terrible...but the pro couldn't have been more apologetic and fully explained the reasons. Hence would like to return as overall it was a varied course, with good greens and a nice mix of holes.Reviewer Rating

In April and so dry.
It overcast but not heavily and threat of rain. A slight cold wind that swirls. All the greens are fast and the fairways burnt out. Bunkers are all pot bunkers and very penalising. A real test and I went out in shorts. After 2 or 3 holes my hands were like ice but warmed up. Good start to the Fife '23 tour.Reviewer Rating

2nd time and even better
Played 4 ball end of July. Great weather and unusually not a drop of wind. Beautiful lay out and as per last time the course was in fantastic condition. I think it would be a real test in the wind. Sons food to finish over in the Leven Thistle clubhouse which was excellent and some good banter with the bar staff. The only downside is that I don’t stay closer as I would join this course in a heartbeat.Reviewer Rating

Great value links course on the Fife coast
Perhaps it was because the wind wasn't blowing and it was a beautiful early autumn evening but this seemed an ideal "starter" links course - true humps and bumps and sandy tight lies but forgiving rough and generous views of the route ahead, no real blind shots of other links courses. Really enjoyable course to plot your way around and with fabulous views across the Forth to the Bass Rock and Berwick Law and a huge sky all around, only impinged upon by the brooding Largo Law, this was great fun to play. The 457 yard par 4 18th with a broad tidal burn protecting the green was typical of the need to concentrate on the golf rather than the views all the way around!(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 16.5)
