Mid Week 4 Ball
Lovely picturesque clean and tidy course, but not demanding. The condition of the course was fair but clear signs of wear and tear on the fairways and a battle has taken place against the hot summer. However there is strong evidence that the green-keeping staff are trying to restore the course back to its best as there are clear sign of remedial work on fairways, greens and tee boxes. Pro shop staff were pleasant and good customer service on purchases. However what lets this club down is the attitude and behaviour of some of the members who represented everything bad about golf. From the moment we drove up to the car park right up until the final hole, some of the members were far from welcoming and obviously appear to have an issue with guests and visitors intruding on "their" club. Like the club house the members appear to be stuck in the 1930'sReviewer Rating

Played a club 4BBB match here on 25th April. The course was in very good condition in most places although there are still some areas recovering from last year's hot summer. Some greens are quite undulating with tough to read borrows. The rough just a yard off the fairway is very lush and punishing - the ball almost disappears in these locations. A pleasant course to play and I would like to play it again. Lunch after golf was very well presented and much appreciated by our team.

Tough course
Tough little course with narrow fairways, green were not in great condition but is was still winter conditions. Will definitely play again(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: )

we went there as a three ball in April 2017, firstly we liked the layout of the course but greens had been hollowtined but expected for this time of year. Cant fault the staff they all seemed friendly. when we booked we were given a tee time, as we got there early we took our time and had a coffee etc and walked to the tee, had a nice chat with some lady members waiting to tee off but then the problems started, male members came over and insisted they teed off before us as members had priority and when asked about tee times they said that system didnt exist, we then had to wait as a group came across from the 18th so as we should we gave way, we ended up teeing off about 30 mins after what we should have in the end, we got no end of nasty looks from male members it was like why are you on our golf course in thirty years of golfing i have never had this bad attitude before. We definitely wouldnt go back here and pay a green fee

Worth every penny but stay out of the Rough. Fairways and Greens a must.

Played this on a twilight deal after 4:30PM for £22. Offers exceptional value for money - Letchworth GC is 105 years old and is shows. The course oozes class, very established as you can imagine so encourages arrow straight drives on the front nine, slightly more forgiving back nine but a great test with change in levels, and lightning fast but true greens. A truly magnificent course!

Undulating parkland course. Despite lack of rain in recent weeks course was iin good condition. Greens gast and true but firm. Bunkers in good condition with plenty of sand.

A really good course . Fairways quite wide, not to many fairway bunkers , a few more round the greens. Very nice sand in the bunkers , the white stuff ! Greens are fast and undulating . Rough not too bad . The clubhouse is very welcoming , as is the staff . A good choice of food . Well worth a visit .

Excellent
Great course, backed up by great staff and a lovely clubhouse. Obviously playing rather shorter than usual at this time, but don't stay too far because you'll be playing out of the woods. Greens were quick and difficult to read at time but not in a bad way. Just had to take time to look at them properly.The staff were fabulously friendly. Everyone had time to chat and to serve.
