Lovely course a very challenging. The course is suffering from a number of moles but otherwise well manicured the clubhouse is good not terrific but the food is good.

Plays like a links course although not a links a very challenging course. The club facilities were good and the food excellent.

Considering the recent weather course isn't in bad condition. Slow play still an issue, and nothing much seems to get done about it

Excellent greens, good fairways, rough is fairly penal. As the course has matured, it has got more difficult, which is fair enough

Excellent, greens in great condition, fairways have wintered well. Knocks all other Jersey courses into a cocked hat, as far as value for money is concerned

All things considered, a good course, well run, and friendly. Greens are not the greatest, but that's to be expected as the course is heavily played 12 months of the year, with no temp greens. Slow play is a constant bugbear, people seem to think that you're supposed to keep just ahead of the group behind, and not to be close to the group in front. Club house food is excellent, although a little pricey, pro shop is small, but well stocked, the staff are friendly and cheerful

always an adventure as the wind can change your club selection every time you play.the first 9 is fairly open but the back 9 is much tighter with lots of water.you may need a helmet as there are many holes where you could be hit by stray golf balls due to the wind or bad shots.course usually in great conditon.

I've been a member here for 10 years and over all it's on the good side of "fair". The course is well looked after but the greens continually let it down. Holes are varied and interesting, but space is tight so everything can get snarled up when the course is busy, which is often.
There is a "dry" nine (the front, south) and a "wet" nine (the back, north). Front has a couple of nice par 5s to start but only the 5th hole (par 4 lay up and then cross the water) presents a serious challenge on this side. The back is tight and unforgiving. If you're wayward, bring plenty of ammo! Big hitters can have a go at the green on the par 4 17th.
Tee slots are 9 minutes apart, which is insufficient during busy periods and exacerbates the overcrowding problem. But golf on the island is over-subscribed, with the waiting list for the Royal running at about 20 years(!), so Les Mielles is always going to be busy.
Watch the website for online specials and avoid weekends if at all possible!
