Needs investment

A course I used to always look forward to playing as it’s a very challenging course that makes you really plan your shots around the course. Lots of water in play on the back nine (north course).
Played today and was disappointed by the overall condition of the course. Fairways seem a lot narrower then before but don’t seem to be cut often, but the real disappointment was the areas to the side off the fairways, very inconsistent, as some areas bare ground, others thick grass or areas under repair. Just seems to lack the finish and suspect that there has been a real lack of investment lately

What a mess

Oh dear. I have played here several times over the years being a friend of a member. I played this week and was amazed at the appalling state of all aspects of the course. To top it off they charged £50 even as a guest. I messaged them complaining about its condition but received no response.

Avoid unless you enjoy playing on wooly goose poo covered greens, leaking sprinkler heads, dangerous uncovered sprinkler heads, poor tees and fairways. It used to be good, such a shame

Has potential to be a great course....

Owners seem more interested in trying to generate an income from the surrounding areas of the course and clubhouse. Currently, an odd ruling is in place permitting up to 3 balls only at peak times (regardless of how quiet the course is) and then allowing 4 balls after midday. With some reasonable focus and investment in the course itself, it would be thriving.

Lovely course with sea views. Very different to the midlands park lands course. Any visitor is likely to find a bunker or two that you did'nt know was there.

This course should really have the distance of the holes at each tee box as well as a map of the whole so that people who havent played here before know the layout

I played here recently and the course is in excellent condition, greens staff have done a great job keeping everything up to standard. The greens are playing really well lately; it seems in the past few years things have continually improved which is always a joy.

The course is quite busy especially on Saturdays with all the clubs and societies. But being the only pay and play 18 hole course in Jersey it's to be expected, I really enjoy playing here. Both nines are completely opposite, from open and long to tight and short. It's a pleasant challenge.

Club house is good too, friendly staff and good food, can't complain.

Well priced and challenging, what more could you want.

I am a member here and objectively describe this course as a test of your short game. Short course with no trees, just a couple of bunkers, bushes and plenty of water to keep you thinking. The wind can really test your strength of character! This is a very busy course and gets a lot of wear and tear and stands up to the test pretty well, however don't take your putts too seriously as there are many different types of grass on the greens and although the pace is normally fairly slow it can vay from green to green and the odd bobble on the green is more than normal. New sand in the bunkers is very welcome, however a daily rake would really make a difference. Very friendly staff, packed pro shop, good food and a wine cellar make the fairly simple clubhouse appealing. Defintely worth a try especially as the other two 18 hole courses in Jersey range form 65 to 72 gbp- ouch!

I played here last week and the course is in great nick, the greenkeepers have done an excellent job! The fairways are thick and lush and a pleasure to play off and the greens are much faster than they were a couple of months ago and really playing well.
The course is usually quite busy being the only pay and play 18 hole in jersey but everytime i play here its a new adventure with tight fairways, plenty of water and wind to test your mettle.
Well worth playing!!!

Shocking

Once upon a time this course was lovely to play on, however the last 3-4 years its fallen off a cliff. The owner has decided to take all the money out of the club and use it to fund his crazy golf. The tee boxes are either like a raised bunker or a rough, the greens are the worst I've ever seen anywhere, and the fairways can be either cut down to the bone or 6 inches thick. The place is an absolute shambles. Wouldn't play here for free.

Appalling

Unfortunatrly i am a member. This course is in horrendous condition. No greenkeeper for 5 years, greens are diseased and dead. Fairways are different lengths from 1 inch to 6 inches depending. Bunkers have granite in them, some tee boxes have no grass. No 4 balls before 12 noon
