I played just after some of the heaviest rainfall that the area had experienced in a very long time, so the course was extremely wet. The greens were very slow and few putts rolled true. It really is a beautifuly laid out course with some of the best par 3's that I've played, the 6th particularly so.
However, it seems that the very design of the course will make it a poor draining course and the opinions of my playing partners for the day (who are both members) seemed to bear that out.
I would probably play there again, but only after a sustained period of dry weather.
As a rider, I played St Austell 2 days later, (see my review) which had suffered the same poor weather conditons, and the 2 courses were as different condition wise as chalk and cheese
