What the club says: Built on sandy land, Kilton Forest boasts a facility that allows for golf all year round with its excellent drainage.
The 18 hole par 72 course is both challenging and friendly to experienced and novice golfers alike. Visitors are most welcome and can warm up before play on our superb landscaped putting green and chipping area.

Great value for money with fast greens, watch out for many dog walkers
Course in reasonable condition with decent layout, the greens had been spiked and were all fast. Bunkers were poor with inadequate sand. Great value for money though. No golfer hold-ups, so round was speedy, however on back nine virtually every hole there was a dog walker that were all oblivious to the golf. Pro shop closed but friendly bar staff.Reviewer Rating

Kilton GC is a challenging course, great value and well worth a visit. The rough is brutal, hit it straight or take plenty of balls..
The bunkers could do with a bit of TLC. But saying that, after all the rain the course was excellent. Shame we picked the day when they holed the greens. Great day out?

Course in excellent condition considering the weather. All my local courses closed or with many holes not playable. Buggies allowed on course as well. Very friendly staff, would recommended a visit.Reviewer Rating

Best Winter Course for Miles
Both Kilton Forest and College Pines are regarded as the best winter courses in a large area around South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. For KIlton is edging it now, with better care of course, which has dropped at College Pines and better breakfast deals. The course itself gets harder and harder as the rough grows and the tee placements are back to normal. Staff are great, relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse and chatting to the greenkeepers you find they are enjoying keeping the course in good nick. Some courses for me are dictated by greenkeepers to the detriment of play, which is a pity. Is it the hardest course, no .. is it the easiest course no .. but is it open and on full tees and greens, absolutely yes. Too many other courses are using smoke and mirror tactics to get you to pay for inferior quality winter golf on temps, mats or both and expecting full green fees. Played here on New Year?s Eve as my home course was closed due to the rain. Most of the course absolutely bone dry as it's built on sand, so amazing in that respect. Course is pretty open which is fine. The pace of play was absolutely abysmal with three groups queueing up on each tea all the way round the course. This was due to 3 (obviously) non-golfers holding the entire course up.

Lovely fairways, tee boxes, greens bobbly
Great value course for twenty quid at weekends and fifteen in the week. Tee boxes are quite long but in good condition. Fairways are lush with rough being quite harsh, but this is a very open course. Greens look good from distance but when you get to them, they are quite bobbly so putting properly is a challenge. Some tough long par fours and without summer rollout even big hitters might struggle to hit some greens in regulation. Nice friendly staff in the pro shop, course not too busy. Golfers breakfast fantastic and worth visiting just for that, well after the golf of course!Reviewer Rating

Really nice golf course but be aware that the public have rights of way and some of them let their dogs use the bunkers as toilets. The groundstaff try to keep on top of this but it's not easy.

good course worth a visit
Lovely course even though we played in the rain. Will definitely be adding this course to my list of go too courses over the summer and will be returning very soon.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 108 Handicap: 27.4)

Course in great condition. Last time I played the bunkers were poor due to a lack of sand in them. This seems to have been addressed. Would recommend this course.
