My first ever proper round of golf, and its a good challenging course for beginners and mid handicappers. Quick running greens make it a challenge. Just don't go right on most holes! Bunkers could do with some more sand though.

Some of the greens were being treated, but overall the course was in good shape. An enjoyable round, reasonably priced.

A course with two personalities; Winter = wet, muddy, still playable, but not as enjoyable. Summer = great condition for any golf course, not just a municipal, all the greens, fairways and tees were in top form right through the summer. The course is very interesting to play with a diverse range of holes and each having their unique obstacles.

Very windy played havoc with my shots, struggled to keep any shots straight even the puts :o)
But its all a learning curve after yesterdays round I had high hopes and after the first hole all was well then the wind really hit hard
Greens were lush and true and fairways still dry but soft enough to take nice divots
Will be back for sure

Been here for loads of lessons with the Pro Jamie and Teetimes.co.uk had a good deal so I was on my way to play.
Its my first full round since my pneumonia last September, but the ground was so saturated, no one could use trolley's - Oh joy lumping my bag about lol.
There was no carry on 95% of all my shots as the ball plugged nearly everytime, even when using my driver grrrr making ball finding a pain and having to replace a very plugged ball covered in mud even on a few greens, it made for very heavy going and a tough ask, but with the wet weather being so bad recently, its credit to the ground staff that it is still playable to a degree - fingers crossed for a drier summer.
I will be back for sure great clubhouse, massive driving range, 9 hole pitch n put, very helpful staff its got the lot for all levels of golfers - just need it to dry out lol
Had major joy with my 3 wood I'm not scared of it any more.
Happy days

The Greens were a bit bobbley where the ball would bounce along rather than roll, and some of the Tee areas could have had the grass cut a bit shorter. But on hole it was a pleasent course

Tee areas could have been cut a bit shorter, farways ok for a council owned course. Greens are bit bobbly but were being aerated. Distances can be very decieving.

Humberstone heights is a very good pay & play course. Overall a decent test of your golfing skills, if your having a good day you can shoot a very low score here. A good set up with some challenging holes. there are also some holes that if you keep it in play a birdie is on the cards.
The crown golf golf societ play there Christmas fancy dress day out here every year. A brilliant day out, they really look after us. Hey you try playing to your habdicap whilst dress as rudolf! this course also has a nice lttle pitch & putt which is great for the kids to start the game on. Overal for a council ran course top value for money. Recommended for a round.
