Good, attractive course though some repairs are necessary to worn areas. Friendly staff.

Great 9 hole course - worth visiting
Had a good round. The greens were in excellent condition. Had a 9 hole round, very easy to book and very helpful in the Pro shop.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 41 Handicap: )

we stopped here after a round at sweetwoods and were warmly welcomed by t
he pro shop and bar staff. excellent food, good choice of beers and lovely service. the course was in good condition and, though not long, is well protected by nature - watch out for the gorse.

Went with a casual society , we have a meal beforehand which was excellent value for money, course in good condition

This course is a 9 hole course next door to Sweetwoods. They are so different though. Holtye is similar to Reigate Heath in many ways, also 9 holes and an abundance of heather. There are some easy holes, but the difficult holes require accurate long drives and precise shots to greens. The greens were incredibly slow, the slowest by quite a margin I have played on all year. Played here on a Sat for a really good discount complete with buggy. Shame we abandoned the game as the weather was so appalling.

First round of the year played in wet conditions and I think this course plays better with some moisture in it. Less uneven bounce and better hold on greens. Good test as always!

After driving past this course for nearly 20 years, thought it was about time I gave it a try! Well, I'm only disappointed that I didn't do it years ago! Lovely track, some scenic holes. Greens could do with some improovement, but on the whole, great VFM. Will be back

Great location
First outing out since I bagged the Vilamoura trophy and I enjoyed it. Very hot and quite hilly in places, the course was in good condition though. I got a great birdie on the 4th ' The Hammerwood' and wont forget that. The course was founded in 1893 and is still going strong.Reviewer Rating

Gem of a course , fantastic value
Fantastic course,greens quick and true ,lovely layout with some cracking holes , 4 / 13 one of the best par 3s we have played , tough driving holes on 3 and 7 which certainly test your aim , not as easy as the scorecard gives the impression of . Really helpful staff in the pro shop and a fantastic little club house , where we all had a nice meal afterwards , there was a really nice atmosphere in the club house also with plenty of members in there , I see that it is only £395 for first year of membership which seems a very good deal .Reviewer Rating

Love this course. Like a secret garden from hole 4 onwards. Very picturesque and a friendly clubhouse. Very good facilities all round. I am not local but always ensure I play this course when nearby.
