Course was set up lovely

Played the Lakes course today, 1st time in about 3 months or so. The whole course has been prepared very well & a real credit to the greenkeepers

Just off the A1

Just off the A1 is this well maintained golfing oasis, comprising off two very different courses . Condition of greens was very good along with the fairways at this time of year. Winter offer was very good value , will definitely be revisiting

Log Cabin Golf Package is a Winner

We always visit GV in the winter, never in the summer, which is a fault on our part. But, given that the winter package of ?90 for cabin, two rounds, three course meal, brekky and unlimited nine hole play we will always keep coming back. Both courses are great and have different challenges, the nine hole is an adequate warm up and the accommodation and food is top notch. I would absolutely recommend it for the winter and probably the summer (although we have never been in that period). Go for the cabin option as the hotel rooms aren't as nice in our experience.

Gets better as you progress round

Great course, but you wonder why it called the Lakes until you get to the back nine - which despite being much harder in my view is a better challenge for your game and better half of the course.

Hilly, but very interesting course

The par 68 course is a little on the short side at 5,401 yards off the yellows and it’s quite hilly, so less mobile golfers should book a buggy. However, the course was quite challenging and very interesting, particularly the back 9, with the 17th being a bit of a feature hole.
