No 9 Holes

I am sad to write this as course and facilities excellent. But Greetham have just stopped allowing 9 holes as an option. In favour of more (much) expensive 18 hole twilight rate. This penalises older golfers (as myself) who prefer a shorter game in favour of financial profit and their convenience and means I can no longer play there. My past custom means nothing to them. Twilight option is not one I can take and I don't want to play 18 holes.

Played both courses yesterday the fairways and tees are very good , the problem is the greens they are the worst greens I,ve played on this year, very slow and uneven.
It would helped if I had been told of the state of the greens when booking and given the choice of playing or not instead of turning up and paying the full price.

Played both courses, Lakes and Valley on a recent one night break.Lakes course is a typical hotel course, too many similar holes, no gradation of rough giving very wide fairways and poor visual appeal. One or two nice holes but not a course that will live long in the memory.
Valley course much better, although 6 par 3 holes on this course it was much more appealing and enjoyable to play, obviously the older of the two courses lots more trees and various types of rough adding to an attractive aspect.
Would definitely play again.

fine course and some great holes. Shame greens were being done at time of play but didn't spoil the game. Prefer Lakes course which is even better.

Two eighteen hole courses to play here.
They have both got some very interesting and challenging holes on them.
It feels quite rewarding if you come of with a good card here and it is possible on a good day.
Worth a visit if you enjoy playing different courses.

Very well maintained for the middle of winter. Just a shame that some holes were closed. Staff very friendly.

Excellent venue

I highly recommend Greetham valley. It's good value and easy to get to. Two good interesting golf courses. A lot of fun. Good food. Good service. Good rooms and practice facilities. The only thing I?d ask of the venue is to try to get their greens as good as possible. Quicker. Hence fairer.
