What the club says: The Phoenix course at Gaudet Luce has two contrasting loops of holes. The front 9 is tight and requires good course management policy, in particular the long 9th with its tight out of bounds along the right-hand side. In contrast, the back 9 is more open and is longer, with a network of water features. The 12th is generally considered to be one of the finest Par3’s in Worcestershire, fairly long and with water surrounding the green.
The Par 3 Hadzor course was built to USGA specification and has developed into an excellent test of any golfer’s short game. The course is used by many unions for training purposes and is a great benefit for any golfer looking to improve their short game. This course is a great introduction for new golfers looking to hone their skills before moving onto the Phoenix.

Top course
Beautiful golf course , greens in excellent condition and tee boxes and fairways decent as well . Some challenging tee shots at times and driver not necessarily the best choice of club on some of the shorter early holes ! We had a buggy and I'm very glad we did - would be a very challenging walk especially for us older folk !Reviewer Rating

Certainly a Course you have to play
Not played this course for around 15 years and boy was I impressed with the difference in it. Some lovely holes and very scenic. The 17th green is an amazing view of around 10 miles. Although getting up there is a trek in itself. What a hill !!. Overall deffo worth a visit if you can and I would certainly play it again.Reviewer Rating

Beach greens
Turned up to find the greens had been worked on and covered in sand. It was hit and hope on every green. Slow and bobbly. They should let you know on the website before u book full price. Not happy.Reviewer Rating

A lovely course in great condition given the terrible weather lately. Staff in Pro shop really welcoming and helpful. Played after 3pm at reduced rate and completed the round in 31/2 hours. I can highly recommend a round here. Great value for money

Great course with a variety of holes for all players. Greens were excellent, very fast even with it being so wet underfoot. Fairways perhaps a little longer than would be ideal but there has been a lot of rain, 2/3 fairways very wet. Though the course could have had some areas cordoned off to avoid extra traffic on very muddy tracks. Pro shop and clubhouse excellent and very friendly. Will always play here. Green fees deal was excellent and included a bacon bap.

Avoid from November #MudPit
20th November first visit, with a lot of rain the course has been hit hard, very muddy and boggy. highlight of the day was the par 3's not a weak one on the card and all great on the EYE. tee's in good shape and green still rolling well and quick.tiny chipping area in good order and a nice range with 15 balls costing a £1 - a 9 hole short game area also but we didn't use that. a good day out but PLAY was super slow 4hr35mins
Friendly bar staff and £4.40 for a pint of the black stuff

This is a fantastic golfer course which is worth visiting. The front nine was excellent with all the holes interesting although the pace was very slow. The members were very friendly though and I was invited to join a two ball. The back nine was different class in comparison to the front which i have already said was excellent ....outstanding in all aspects, fairway , greens and layout . Wow. Would I play it again? Most definitely. Even though its quite expensive.

Good variety of holes. Greens slow and had many pitch marks on them that hadn't been repaired - why? Bunkers needed a good rake but had plenty of sand. Friendly pro slope and clubhouse excellent providing a gluten free option and an all day breakfast which seems like a lot of courses are no longer providing after 12:00.

You could tell that the course had had a lot of water on it during the previous week but it played quite well. Greens quite slow but in good condition except for the number of pitch marks that had not been repaired! Plenty of sand in the bunkers but both always raked, obviously the members are a little lazy here. Pro shop very friendly and the clubhouse also, providing an all day breakfast and gluten free options for food and beer - well done
