Nice open course however the fairways are quite unforgiving for the new golfer and any wayward strokes are punished heavily with heavy rough. Could possibly benefit from a first cut of rough between fairway and lost ball territory. Greens are excellent and the course is well maintained. Would definitely play again and room for improvement.

Really nice course, greens in top condition and quick. Easy walking with some interesting holes. Friendly members and staff. Only downside is a ball off the fairway is nearly certain to be lost.

Got a very good deal for a four ball today (£60) and found to all our pleasure a very well set up course, a pleasant welcome and a really good test of golf. There were a couple of strange "dog leg" holes which to the new visitor were unusual and a lovely 560yd par 5 with a lake before it, like i said , a good test, but all four of us agreed we would definitely come back for another visit to a course we never really knew existed.

Still a very good course in the winter with very good drainage for the amount of rain there has been (other course not far were closed on the day). Some parts were very wet under foot but still very playable. A pleasant round with friendly people on the course and pro shop.

Played this course for the first time today.greens immaculate even at this time of year,no temps at all. Tee areas in superb condition, nice and flat.clubhouse very modern and welcoming.youd be hard pushed to find a better course than this in the north west.

A very well kept course with narrow fairways, anything off the fairways and the rough just grabs tight hold of the ball. Greens unpredictable but they had been rained on. Course management required to navigate safely round.

I came here with a society and the general consensus was that the course was excellent. With deep rough and tight fairways, it was a stern test of our abilities but was still fair enough to enable you to get a good score. The greens were particularly well kept with some very challenging pin placements. The course has a good variety of holes with excellent use of water and bunkers to make you think about ball placement from the tee.
Afterwards, we enjoyed the hospitality in the bar with some excellent food as part of the package we had arranged and I would recommend the course to anybody.
