Brilliant Golf Day
East Herts provided a fabulous golf day for our group of 16. Really warm and welcoming hospitality - nothing was too much trouble. The condition of the course - which is very pretty - was outstanding.Reviewer Rating

Watch out for arrogant slow playing members
Overall a great course, fantastic service from Daniel in the pro shop, quality course knowledge and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Had a very enjoyable 6 holes until we came up behind a member four ball who insisted they couldn’t let us play through as they were “having a match”, very disappointing, no one in front of them either, so we had to wait on every tee waiting for them (we’re a two ball in a buggy ffs), very bad etiquette and ruined our back nine tbh, we saw them finish their match on 14th hole and all shook hands and just played on and still didn’t let us through! JokersIn summary the course and staff in the pro shop are fantastic, immaculate par threes, a few gettable par fours and some tricky well laid out par five’s, but it doesn’t matter because I will never play it again or join because of the selfish members slow play.

Challenging - A good test of golf
We have been coming here now for a number of years and are never disappointed by either the condition of the course or the facilities available in the Club House. This Course is most definitely one of our Members' favourites and is already on our calendar for 2026.Reviewer Rating

It's Parkland Golf alright!
If you like a parkland layout, this is right up your straße. Welcomed warmly by all the members we encountered, and helpful in the proshop.Probably best to get a course guide as there are a few funky-ish holes and you need to know where to go to leave you in a favourable position for your approach shots. It's not always clear from the tees as visually, it can be somewhat lacking in definition. Unfortunately, we came at a time when the greens were being treated to the necessary seasonal work, with some featuring heavily scarification, some with random sandy spots and others, spiked. From what I saw, the bunkers played excellently, with a consistent amount of good quality sand. Personally, I wasn't really "wowed" by the course ... it's just consistently pleasant and that's fine.

Super Course
Well manicured lush fairways soft bunker sand great greens & lots of challenging & interesting holes more often tree lined. Conditions were perfect & the course was packed. Our 2 ball lasted over 4 & 1/2 hours. So never made it to the bar & kitchen long closed. The half way house was great though. Recommend the sausage rolls!Reviewer Rating

I had the pleasure of taking my society to East Herts GC last week. What a stunning golf course, superbly presented with true, quick greens. Every hole presented a different challenge with great views on every hole.

Excellent Course and Facilities
We have been coming to East Herts every year with our golf society and we have always enjoyed playing the course. It is challenging but fair and always in excellent condition. Wow!
Heard good things about the club so decided to give it a go and loved it! The setting is stunning with mature trees and a mansion as the backdrop. The presentation as you drive in is first class and all staff made you feel very welcome. The service and food in the bar were first class and the view from the balcony is as good as you will find. The course is stunning, presentation was of the highest standard and the greens were as good as I have played on. Paid £60 which is exceptional value....I will be back!Reviewer Rating

Nice course. Worth a visit
Played here for the first time and it was a lovely course with good green conditions and nice tee boxes and some challenging holes. Gentle rolls on the fairways with mature trees surrounding them. Would play again(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.6)

Cant understand how this gem is not better known.what a wonderful quiet woodland golf course just up the A10 from London.a must course to play in excelent condition.

Very fast greens. Fairways were wet in places causing the ball to plug at times.

The course was in superb condition. Fairways showed no sign of wear or tear from last year. The greens were immaculate and pacey. The layout is very good. A premier Hertfordshire golf course.
