It was a lovely, sunny day for my round. The course was in excellent condition and the welcome that I received from staff and club members was extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed both the older hilly parts of the course and the parkland newer section equally. It is definitely a course that I will visit again when I am next in Perthshire.

Fantastic mixture of different holes. Spectacular views form the course. There are some hills, but not too tiring, long flat section for 7 holes. Food very good, staff very friendly. I would recommend highly

A real cracker of a course. Every hole is a challenge, but not over difficult for high handicappers. The staff were friendly. A buggy is a necessity if anyone struggles with hills. Talking of buggies, we were surprised to be given a large towel should it rain and the seat gets wet. How many courses do you know that does that. The food in the club house was excellent. so good in fact that we stayed and had our evening meal. large portions, and priced a lot lower than nearby restaurants. Will certainly return.

Don't be put off by the short length of this course, there are plenty of quirky interesting holes, and the views on all of the holes of the front nine are quite breath-taking. The highlights for me were the quirky short par-4 6th hole across a valley; the very well designed par-5 10th with two strategically placed ditches; and the amazing 190-yard par-3 17th straight up the hill to a small target (into wind!).
A wonderful course to play, and not be missed if you are in the area.

The most scenic panorama from the clubhouse

We played Dunkeld and Birnam two weeks ago and the first thing which strikes you is the view from the clubhouse window: it is really quite breathtaking!! The course is split into two quite distinct halves: the old (original) heathland set up, which encompasses holes 1-8, 17 & 18 of the modern day course, it is full of character and you are playing across stunning views everywhere, lots of little rocky outcrops, broom, Heather as well as occasional sightings of the local wildlife: it is Scotland in miniature as Walter Scott portrayed it!! The new part is more of parkland character but the holes are nicely designed over two streams and it makes you think your way round those parts of the course. We both said that it is a course which is well worth a second visit. We were very warmly welcomed by members and staff in the clubhouse and had a very satisfactory meal after our round.

I played this course several times 15-20 years ago when it was still a 9 hole course which was in my opinion very challenging, the new 9 holes i think are a good addition to the course although the fairways have a bit of maturing to do. but still a good test.
