Too many distractions
Positives, played 30/12 and the course was in good condition, especially the greens. Downside, members of the public everywhere. Group of 12 ramblers walking across fairways, dog walkers letting dogs roam wherever they like, joggers stopping to pick balls up (that were our drives!)........Reviewer Rating

Great layout but fairways not very lush maybe due to not being watered and greens far too slow for this time of year.

A nice course with excellent facilities but felt the green fee of £65 was steep for this course.

Went on 2 for 1 deal - however still not cheap. Good parkland course - some good testing holes.

Cheshire / Manchester Gem
Dunham Forest is a true gem in the Cheshire / Greater Manchester area.A warm, welcoming club with fantastic facilities and amenities.
The course is typically in great condition owing to the sand base, allowing for better drainage (which helps in Manchester). Greens are particularly good, and have been known to be dialled up to be firm and fast.
Dunham offers a nice balance between playability and challenge. A higher handicapper can easily go out and enjoy a round without feeling like they got beaten up by the course, while a lower handicap can get a good challenge particularly from the white tees.
All in all a great course and club which I would recommend everyone try.

Fantastic condition
Very well kept course... greens and fairways in too condition considering the rain also .. only 2 temporary greens also .. great layout .. would recommend this course for night the beginner and the seasoned player as it is tough at times .. the cost per round is a little high but worth it.(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 85 Handicap: 18.1)

Course a bit wet in places , but considering its rained the previous 4 days, all greens dry and excellent.
Overall the course was in very good condition.
Food and service excellent, as was the welcome. Our society will play here again. Thanks.

Course was in excellent condition especially the greens which were true and of a good pace. Definitely recommend the course to anyone, fees are expensive but well worth it.

Oh what a luck person I am. I had courtesy of the course owing to playing a team match at this great venue. Yet another person complaining about the weather but its the UK after all. Greens a nice sensible pace. Hitting fairways at a premium. Just miss and the ball will sit down. Only complaint are the newer holes 7-11. Just not bedded in to the same maturity of the other holes. May look to play here again if I get hold of some 2-4-1's.

Stunning course set within secluded woods, a great test of your abilities. Rough can be punishing and greens very fast when dry; visually the course is great and a long walk!

Played on 2-4-1 vouchers and really enjoyed the quality of the course, tree lined fairways, well bunkered greens, a good challenge. Not the friendliest place off course, but still would return to play again.

This is a great course and should be sought out by anyone in the north west. Plenty of challenging holes in a wonderful woodland location. Good facilities too but it's the course that needs to be played... a real treat.
