(Round played: Nov 2015 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.7)Downfield is one of the top courses I've played. If this course was down in the South of England it would probably rank in the UK top 100.

A very good , challenging course. Downfield is a very well mantained course and i believe it has been used in the past as a qualifying course for someof the big golfing tournaments.

Fantastic golf course. Very good layout with variety of holes testing all parts of the game. Condition of some of the fairways could have been better, appears to have been quite a bit of drainage work going on but the greens were superb

One of the best parkland courses I've played. It's has a great lay out and is a great challenge. The greens were fantastic. Entrance, driveway and car park not so good. Catering and pro shop were also very good

played this course on the friday when going away or the weekend. It was my first time playing the course and i was suprosed by how good it actually was. highly recommended

I've played this course twice before this visit and always held it in high regard and potentially the best parkland course I've played. Sadly the most recent visit didn't live up to previous experience. Poor greens (hollow tined and sanded with them claiming a lack of rain to bed it in - what about the sprinklers?) and quite a few fairways very damp with large areas of GUR. Generally disappointing this time but it won't put me off returning as when looked after this is a fantastic tree lined track. Hopefully this is just a blip and it will return to it's previous high standard.

This course will host the Scottish Secretaries and Captains Finals this year and the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2014 and has hosted the Scottish Amateur 4 times before together with many pro tournaments.

The best course I have ever played. Absolutely superb in every way. Makes the West at Wentworth look ordinary!
