Played a round as the course is conveniently local. Lack of signage at some holes is a concern and clubhouse is a bit shabby, but course generally in decent condition. Messy operation to cross busy road for access. Compared to other nearby courses, very poor value for money at winter visitor rates; unlikely to visit again at these prices.

I played there with a club member, agood job , has i could not find my way round the course again, no notices were the next tee is, it all seemed abit of a miss mash. the greens ok , will not rush back. plus a long walk from club house to first tee,

Not as good as it used to be. Lots of trees removed means that a tight little course has been neutered a bit, blame the current Mayor for that!. Drained very well considering the recent rain. OK, but not brilliant.

Great Winter Course

With all 18 greens in play, and the course well drained, this was an excellent winter course. The bunkers were well designed and the par 3's were all excellent especially the 7th and 17th. When the Spring comes will play again as the trees, when in bloom, will no doubt make the visuals off the tee much tighter

Surprising Test Of Golf

Located in the heart of Doncaster Racecourse giving the impression that it would be flat and pretty bland, however certainly not the case. A fairly forgiving stating few holes even off the back tees, but then the course certainly tightens up and increases in difficulty with some tight holes and tricky dog legs on the back 9. Not overly long and presented well with decent greens, not overly quick but very true. The strong side wind is difficult to contend with with quite a few narrow tee shots where you don't feel the breeze until you see you ball go sideways once it's airborne above the tree lines. Very good value for money, it's not going to make your personal top 10, but a pleasant reasonable cheap knock. Despite the ?clubhouse? being across the road a long way from the course, the food was a decent standard and the service was excellent, 1st class.

Ok Course, there are better

This is the nearest course to me and I could literally walk there, but I don't play it often just because its a fair walk from clubhouse to the 1st tee and its not that interesting. It is reasonably priced and has some interesting holes, its just not the type of course I like, so i tend to play it rarely.

Decent course

A decent quality course with good greens though a little soggy today after the recent heavy rains. An unusual course in that it is solely within the perimeter of the Doncaster Racecourse.

Washed out experience.

First visit to this course but wasn't greeted with very nice weather, in fact was horrendous! By the 10th hole we were all soaked to the skin and the greens were water logged so had to call it a day. We were in fact the last golfers out as course was closed. Looking forward to going back as looks a nice course.
