Great course situated inside Doncaster Horse Racetrack and on the top of a really old tip. Drainage is fantastic due to it being basically on years and years of ash! The course is tight, not as short as you might think but a good test. The greens are the best in the area by far!

Lovely condition, bargain price
We played this on a hot September afternoon and at 18 quid, what a bargain. A pound a hole, who can argue that this is not cheap golf. We play this course often as it is the closest one for me and other than the tedious walk to the first tee, this course can be really nice. Its a very easy course for a decent player, with a couple of challenging holes in 9 (into wind), 10 and 12 (which is the hardest in my mind). Tee boxes were good, fairways quite lush and the greens although slow were in very good nick. If you want a pretty quick round, somewhere that is really good value for the quality, then this is a great option. It is definitely improved on years gone by and now I would say its probably amongst the best value golf in Doncaster at ?18.Reviewer Rating

Unusual but very good golf course
This course is entirely within the confines of Doncaster Racecourse, so unusual in that respect but it is an excellent course to play and extraordinarily quiet given it's in the heart of Doncaster. Very good greens and a well kept course made it a delight to play at a very reasonable fee for an afternoon round of golf.Reviewer Rating

Unusual course as you play inside Doncaster race course but the pro shop and car park are outside. You have to cross over a busy duel carriageway to get to the first tee. Once you're on the course itself you'll find yourself having a very pleasant round of golf. It's kept in great condition. Well worth a visit.

Top Course, Top ownership
Had a mishap in the carpark, didn't pack my battery. Spoke to the pro and he did us a deal on a buggy. Got on course, and considering the rain we've had and the time of the year the course was very good. A true challenge, and looking very well.Club house after was very good value. And very welcoming.

Very Enjoyable Course
Played for the 1st time today- 19/4/2022- and was very impressed. Very good greens, well kept fairways and well signposted too, which was needed for a newcomer to the course. Will certainly be returning.Reviewer Rating

What a transformation, best condition ever !
Early in May I played this course and posted a review mentioning bobbly greens which sparked a response from the pro saying they weren't. They were and even their own members said it. However, take all that back as I played it on 27th May and wow, its like a huge transformation. The greens and fairways were superb and I would say its the best condition I have ever seen it. Once they are able to purchase more hole signs and maybe with maps, this will be a course people will flock to. Pro shop is massively improved and the course seemed busy and from the questions being asked by the other golfers, most people we talked to were new visitors. Go Town Moor, great to see you back contending with the other good courses locally. I will be back !Reviewer Rating

Unusual course as it's within Doncaster race course and you have to cross a duel carriageway from the club house to get to it.
Having said that the course is in great condition. My only bug bear is that the signs telling you where the next tee is could be better. We went from hole 1 to hole 3 and had to ask where hole 2 was. But now we know we?ll definitely play it again.
