Wasn\'t sure what to expect, but found the course to be very nice. Little bit rough and ready, but with the weather what can be expected. Greens a little bit rough but roll well. Lots of room but not to much. Some intresting holes, especially with the wind up.

The course is in a very good condition, I like playing here as it has its challenges but is also quite forgiving if you go offline. you are always guaranteed an enjoyable day.

Rough is very tough, also very harsh losing a ball 2 yards from the fairway because the rough is so thick.

Good value for money course (The Oaks) Albeit ground keeping a bit sub
A great course to play if your looking for a cheaper 18.Mostly flat across all the course except for the back 9 where a few holes are up and down.
Nice and open without much in the way of obstacles - The Willows on the 16th are the only real problem that can cause a golfer to loose a number of shots if they get dragged in.
Alot of investment has been put in at the clubhouse. Nice veranda overlooking the practice green. Great driving range with digital Virtual Ball Seeker giving you stats on your drives. Only downside is the toilets. They are very drab and in need of renovating.
My only real gripe with the course is the quality of the grounds keeping. Alot of the tees are poorly tended. Alot of missing lawn. Divots strewn across the floor and not replaced quickly or at all. Dead patches. Fairways are respectable and the mid rough is OK. Heavy rough doesn't appear to get any attention. Greens are poor. Quite alot of GUR (animal damage) and pitch marked heavily. Playing after spells of Heavy rain (even after several days) usually mean the greens are water logged. Never seen to get spiked. Odd bits are to be expected on any course, but seems to be a regular thing here.
Overall a good course to play. But don't expect amazing conditions most of the year. Good for local players but probably wouldn't travel far to play here.

Good course
Haven't played here for about 1o yrs, even though it's on my doorstepCourse was in great condition, albeit a couple of the green were in need of a bit of repair - great fairways and some challenging holes.
Only disappointment was the speed of play and the members not willing to let me (as a single) through. It was painfully slow and there was a notice that said I should be at X hole in 40 mins.....it had taken me 60!.
Furthermore, on one hole there was a group on the fairway, one on the tee, and another waiting as I arrived. Each of the two groups turned to me, looked at each other and simple said 'it's a bit slow today'.....I would go back, but would need to pick my time better

Good par 3
Good par 3 course, with mixture of distances and hills making holes play longer/shorter. No bunkers (there used to be but they were never properly maintained). Greens are small and challenging, making par scores tough if you're off target with your tee shot. Winter mats are played off all year round. Expect a slow round in school holidays!Considering there are not many par 3 courses in county (I can only recall 1 other at Brampton Heath), it's good they've kept it going.

First time playing The Oaks
Used the range and short game facilities since I moved here in 2005. First time playing an actual round on The Oaks. Overall a tidy challenging track, that unfortunately had some damage to f/ways and greens and a couple of tee boxes we're off Astro turf. But can't complain. First round since February and turned in 91/63 & 42 points. I?ll definitely be back.Reviewer Rating

The best thing about this course is the quality of the greens. They are quick and true and enjoyable to putt on. There are some challenging holes with thick rough to catch the more wayward shots. It is not a course to take risks on - you must take your punishment whenever it is dished out.
One negative point about the course is the lack of yardage information. There are no clearly visible yardage poles - just difficult to see disks implanted deep in the middle of the lush fairways. The clubhouse seems to be in need of investment - the showers were out of order and the upstairs bar area wasn't staffed.
Look out for the months old bacon sandwich in the drawer of the small table on the stairs!

The first time I have played this course for about 2 years and what a huge improvement throughout. The greens were absolutely superb and true. The tee boxes needed some TLC but for the local cheap and cheerful course it has come on leaps and bounds.
Now they just need to stop people wearing jeans on the course etc.
The clubhouse is friendly and with an American Golf and good driving range on site this course is certainly going up in my estimation.

An amazing turnaround from two years ago. Greens are cut a little longer than some other courses but they are now in raally good condition. Fairways cut lovely, first cut a little punishing, as it should be. Sand in bunkers, some rakes missing. Stolen I am lead to believe. Huge credit to all staff for the revival of Delapre.

Greens were in fantastic condition running very true and consistent pace all in all course is in superb condition fairways are decent, tees well maintained and rough is just right to be challenging, also they have plenty of sand in the bunkers. Good days golf.

Oaks course in great condition greens best I have seen and played on. The new owners are doing a great job. add two par three's and nine hole plus driving range there is plenty on offer.

Played here 2 years ago and was in terrible condition,always a great layout.

A very well presented golf course. Very good fairways. First cut of rough a little harsh. Could do with a bit more sand in bunkers. Greens are kept a touch longer than other courses in the area due to volume of traffic, but ran very well. The work that the new team are doing is evident. The course is getting back to being a very enjoyable play.

Great value for money with efficient and friendly staff. I like the drivingrange, putting and chipping areas. And great to take the youngster out on the 3 different short courses. The course can be rather wet during rainy periods in winter. Golf shop and great golfpros. Maybe not the greatest and cosiest of buildings.
