It's just been took over by three viols members in April. The greens are great and so are the tees and fairways but the bunkers and the general appearance are showing signs of neglect. Given time this course will be back to its former glory but for the price it's well worth a visit.

The course is very well laid out and in fairly good order, with a little more care and attention it could be first class, the club house is showing wear but is an exeptional building, the pro shop is sparce with not a lot on the shelves.

Played the front 9 in torrential rain last month. Tough championship layout with killer USPGA type rough ? Wedge it out ! Greens good, and a nice layout. Must go back and play the back 9 ? Pro shop staff very nice and friendly and knowledgeable too. They can do loft and lie mods also. Has a small driving range to warm up on too ! Clubhouse/Hotel is a bit 20th century brick for me but seemed capable ? Easy to get to as its next to A55 at one of the Flint turn offs. Priced reasonable too ?

excellent course very friendly in the club house and pro shop.greens and fairways in good condition. The course is difficult in parts with some narrow fairways and plenty of hazards. Its suitable for all standard of players.

ps watch out for the expensive houses on the first haha

I have played this course a few times and it is an excellent course, although the front 9 holes and the back 9 holes are like 2 totally different courses.
There is a lot of course improvement work going on at the moment and this explains the poor condition of some of the first nine holes although it will be a lot better when the work is finished,I'm certain.
The only permanent criticism is that its a bit strange playing the first few holes through a posh housing estate!

This course is like 2 9 holers in 1 course.
The front nine weaves its way through a middle class housing estate and the back 9 is an excellent and well maintained parkland surrounded by superb countryside.
Again used 2 for 1 vouchers and payed 40 pounds for 2 people in high summer, thought this was very good value although a par 4 was significantly shortened into a par 3 for no apparent reason.
I am aware this course hosts challenge tour events and I am sure it will mature into a top class venue, as it seems a reasonably new course,10 years old or maybe less.
I would also suggest the practice bunker area needs to be made more visible as the chipping and putting greens are well placed near the clubhouse.
This course is in a lovely area, with easy access from A55 near Chester and I would recommend people give this a go.

Played here today course layout is very good but the condition of some of the greens tee boxes still playing off winter mats took the shine off short game area is in awful condition whether they haven’t got investment or unfortunately just in the catchment zone of 10-15 courses in the area such a shame. Be a while before I return.

Good course albeit it wet day all day , greens in good condition , course challenging in places & makes you think about where your putting your ball , first cut of rough was difficult to get clean contact out of so you really need to be on the fairway, more signage needed around the course indicating where next hole is , as got a bit confusing at times
