Course was lovely and very interesting, Greens were big with plenty of contours which were hard to read. Fairways were very good and layout of the holes was very interesting. Some great holes. Worst thing was the bunkers which were poor, little sand & unraked. Quite a walk between greens and some tees

A really good course which should be better, only let down by poor quality bunkers. There is also a halfway hut which is empty, would benefit the course to utilise as a snack stop, although you do also pass the pro shop between holes 9-10 so not vital.
Bunkers definitely need attention

Having played every course locally...Darmouth is miles behind in course standard, in particular the greens, they are awful.
And yet the green fees are extortionate.
I wouldn't reccomend this course at all, used to be so much better. Shame really.

A course that definitely needs a buggy because of severe elevation changes and some long hikes between holes. A really lovely, interesting course that is quite demanding on both the legs and the swing technique. Would love to play again.

Incredible golf course in immaculate condition. A must play for anybody looking to play golf in South Devon. Our second round we took a buggy which comes highly recommended due to some pretty sharp elevation changes.

After heavy rain and the river Exe at full flow course was still in excellent condition. Great variety of holes which ensure you need to think your way around the course. Some holes may be considered unfair. SI 1 particarily so when you can hit a good drive on right line and due to the different undulations be unsure of where the ball is and can be time consuming looking for balls.

This is a really good course and excellent destination for a stay and play. Probably the best set of par 3s I've played, with the 18th an absolute peach. The course is very hilly, so a buggy is recommended. The clubhouse food is great and the bar isn't too expensive as golf resorts go. Things to note:- there is no mobile phone signal around the hotel, if buggies are only allowed on the paths (as they were while we were there), there is a lot of climbing of hills involved. The course is also penal if you're not playing well, so take plenty of balls.

Nice course on several levels high par 3's to low par 3's, be wary of crosswinds and 'mizzle' from the moors as I experienced. Certainly worth doing two rounds to get the 18 holes in.

Staying at this resort is a great base to playgolf in South Devon. The championship course is a challenge for any golfer and if the wind blows it can be very difficult. The Dartmouth course is also well worth playing a little shorter but not alot easier.Just a tip if booking a society in, book into the hotel rather than the lodges.

A real test of golf for any hanidcap with 4 tee boxes just for the men. Greens and genral course conditions have stood up really well to the rainy weather. Bunkers are the only issue with gravelly sand making them a slight challenge.

Played the Championship course in July, booked through teeofftimes for £15. The front 9 is a parkland layout up hill and down dale, whereas the back nine is set up on top of the hills and is completely links golf. The course is probably set in one of the most fantastic surroundings I've played in and I can't recommend it enough. Every hole a gem.

Stayed here for a 2 night break for only £60 (in mid Jan) and managed 3 days of golf on both courses. The Championship course is a joy, with many memorable holes including the Par 3 3rd, and the huge and winding par 5 4th. The 18th is a quality finishing hole across the pond to a green looked over by the clubhouse.

The 9 hole Dartmouth course is not be overlooked either - a great little warm-up for it's sister course!

Accommodation is perfectly adequate, and food was very reasonable. A small clubhouse, with enough room for a big tv and a pool table, gives a great atmosphere. Very very enjoyable.

The Championship course is what it says. The layout of this lengthy course is superb and a joy to play. The upkeep is very good and makes a great course even better. at 7191 yards off the gold tees it is a long walk around of about 4 and a half miles. A buggy or trolley is a must here.
The facilities of a very good standard including a spa and gym centre, driving range, large putting green and extensively stocked pro shop.

Dartmouth has a feel of top class golf about it and once you've played there you will always remember it.

Stayed for a three day, three round break. The staff are great, the course has interest and really great design on virtually every hole. Pace of play has been really good. Resort is three stars and a little tired, but the food and spa are pretty good. Genuinely enjoyable stay and well worth the money.
