Played the Macintosh yesterday and then course was in stunning condition despite the current lockdown. Putting surfaces were 1st class

The Greens and Fairways were dry considering the amount of rain and other courses in the area that were closed. Course played nic, some boggy area's but that was to be expected. Groups of members ahead of us, unfortunately, they would not let anybody through despite at one point losing two holes to the group in front. This resulted in waiting on every tee and in some cases two groups waiting on tees due to the slow play of others.

Excellent golf complex with 2 courses
Cottrell park is a fantastic golf club just outside of cardiff on the a48. Theres 2 very different courses, the macintosh is longer & a bit more open where as the button is slightly shorter but has more hazards & is a tighter course, something for everyone. Staff are very helpful and friendly go check out the website as theres alot more to see. 9/10Reviewer Rating

Played here as 4 ball for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Rain was very bad but course was great.

There are two courses, and I played them both. The Button is the shorter course, but an interesting layout with some good holes. The condition of the course is good and it is not a busy course. The Mackintosh is the longer, tougher course, it has some good holes, but there are a lot of blind shots (off the tee and second shots). Also the condition was not as good as the Button particularly the tees which looked heavily used. The final problem is the Mackintosh is a much busier course and consequently the pace of play was poor. The green fee is cheaper for the Button and this is better value as well as being cheaper. There are good facilities in the clubhouse and plenty of space.
