We play this course regularly throughout the dry season and today it was in the best condition we have ever seen it. Fairways cut, greens very fast and the look and feel of the course was really good. Will always recommend it to anybody. Can be quite tricky in places too.

Has the edge

Had a thoroughly enjoyable round. Course in great condition.Friendly service in the pro shop and in the clubhouse.

The course was in fantastic condition today.

The course could do with more ball cleaners and bins and could probably do with a bell on the 3rd hole which is a par 5 with a "blind tee shot" due to the drop off.

You never play the same hole twice on this course, as every hole is unique. I'm not saying I've played every course between Gloucester and Bristol because I haven't and I only play on course I can get on under £20, but out of the 10 or so I play this is my favourite. The second 9 is brutal if you're wayward with your tee shots but the first half is real grip it and rip it. They have long holes, short holes, tight fairways and wide fairways, straight holes, left and right doglegs, up hill,down hill. The course is also blessed with beautiful scenery looking from the edge of the Cotswold over the Severn valley and the valley with Wooten Under Edge in it. If I was to become a member of a golf course I would be a member of this one.

Game of 2 halves

Lovely course by Wootten under-edge.

See my previous review of the course if you want more detail. Course playing well, greens are good. Be aware that the second half of this course gets tight.

Good twilight rate otherwise it would be too expensive for me.

Great course

This is a course of 2 halves with a great front 9 and then you down into the valleys to the back 9 with some great holes

Close to the Edge

Enjoyable game, though some fairways could have done with an extra mow. Not an easy course with some testing holes, but that means you have to play.

Delight to play

Wonderful course.

Course currently undergoing some essential maintenance, with the greens being top dressed, fairways need to be mowed. But apart from that even the back 9 were fairly well drained considering the weather we have had. The joy of this club when they know the course has reduce quality due to top dressing is that they drop the prices. I got 18 holes done (granted 2 temporary greens on the back 9) for £10 which is fantastic.

This is my favourite course in the local area because it continues to test me on the back 9. I would recommend any golfer playing here. Warning though the back 9 are a lot harder than the front .

Awesome course

See my previous review. Really like this course and it's twilight rate is fab. Didn't complete the road that evening but I now drive to this course despite others being closure to me.
