What the club says: Located 6 miles north of Derby, at Duffield on the start of the Chevin Hills, the course is described as both parkland and moorland with magnificent countryside views. The course provides a good test of golf over 6000 yards.

The Fairways catering side of the club were fantastic. We had a business meeting arranged there for 10 people and the facilities were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for the staff & the food & service was excellent, cant recommend highly enough.Reviewer Rating

The conditions were wet, but the course handled the conditions very well. The course is hilly, so there were some stunning views to enjoy. The course itself was well-maintained and provided a very challenging round of golf.

Very good course,first couple of holes level then start to go uphill to about the twelth hole,views from the "top" exceptional.All the greens beautifully cut and very fast with subtle borrows.Fairways well looked after.Clubhouse spacious ,good bar area, nice conservatory,very pleasant patio overlooking the first tee off.Food very good

Excellent course. A bit wet today but course holding up well. Very friendly. Winter tees in play on some holes which merely make for different approach shots.

Perfect course set up
Course in fantastic condisition for early october the green are faaaaaast.We got a hot deal on golf now for ?17 each. Wouldnt want to pay the usual ?30 every time when you can do 2 for one at morley for ?2 extra or even sinfin for ?15 each

Great condition and views
£20 for twilight round. Feed off at 5:25, done by 9 comfortably. First 11 holes uphill. Punished average shots in places.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 86 Handicap: 18.1)

Played here for the second time in 10 years. It can be a hard slog , but we were fortunate that the weather was perfect and once you reach the top at 10, it become a lot easier.

Great condition PGA Pro Am
Course in good condition set up with tight pin position’s as you would expect for county wide Pro Am. greens in excellent condition. Fairways and bunkers well conditioned some great views from the elevated parts of the course.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 19)

Superb course
Possibly the best course in the East Midlands .A great Afternoon if you can manage the walk then it is a great course,you dont know weather to hit your shot or take a photograph of the stunning views.Course in great condition greens smooth and fast all in all throughly reccomend.Cannot comment on the eating or clubhouse facilities as did not use.Reviewer Rating

An Everest assault
Course, despite the rain, was in extremely good condition with both greens and fairways looking and playing well.A warm clubhouse welcome, followed by an eleven hole climb that in not mentioning words like " sheer" and "steep" I have understated. That did however not really detract, and though finishing rather tired, it was a course to be enjoyed.

Greens and clubhouse fantastic, fairways a bit lush and the rough was very penal. I am a 23 handicapper and found the sloping lies very challenging.

invited by member. bang on course, don't smoke round front nine as hills are a killer. make up for it on back nine as downhill. lovely set up. but slow up front but not too bad. would play again. 17th signature hole
