played here twice now, it is a challenge to walk up the front nine. and the 17th lets the rest of the course down. i enjoyed both rounds and will be returning

Played this on a beautiful sunny day (first this year!) and the course was in superb condition. Can't really fault the layout, greens or fairways - the few members we came across were very friendly.
Well worth a visit if you can get in, and a real bargain for £80 for a 4 ball if you can get in.

Chevin is fantastic course. There was very little sign of damage from the recent bad weather and the fairways and greens were top class. This course is awesome!

Very warm and friendly welcome, course was in a really good condition, greens excellent and quick. Very good course amenities, ball washers on every hole, plenty of benches and huts. A bit hilly but overall excellent.

Overall this course is not for the faint hearted, Hill's so steep you barely struggle to walk up them if you are not either very young or very fit and because of how the course is laid out they cannot provide buggies.

Although this is a great test of golf for a low handicap player (not myself), i believe there is alot better in the area that you can play for half the price.

Finally got to play this course last winter even though it's only a few miles from where I live. Not for the faint hearted or unfit! Starts off fairly flat and then climbs steeply to Everest like heights and then drops down again. Has got everything you could ask for in a course. Has got greens and tee boxes perched precariously on the sides of the hills, a huge par 3, long downhill par 4's where you can really open the shoulders and vicious sloping fairways. Home of possibly the nastiest little par 3 I've ever played, a tiny thin green - miss left and it's an impossibly steep chip down and miss right and you're 50 yards down in the valley! Brilliant.

Lovely clubhouse and really friendly pro-shop.

Hilly (13holes going up!) but nice. Def worth a round. Watch out for the 200yrd blind par 3... Got to be a contender for hardest par 3 in Derbyshire??!
