Friendly welcome to visitors. Great condition, even with fairways being treated, and reduced fees to £20. Brilliant views.

(Round played: Apr 2015 - Score: 101 Handicap: 25.5)A great course exceeding my high expectations. This is a typical linksy course set on a headland. You get some glorious sea views. The course is well kept and the greens are quick.Changes in elevation add to the interest.
The clubhouse is well appointed and the food excellent. The clubhouse carries a good supply of necessities.

Firstly, I must point out that the weekend Summer Green Fee is £40 !! Yes £40, not for a round, but for THE DAY !! Amazing value for a course held in such high regard by the Welsh Golf Union that is has hosted the Golf Union of Wales's Under-18 Wales versus Ireland internationals every other year since 2004 and also it regularly hosts County and Regional competitions, Golf Union of Wales Championships and International matches.

Another worthy note is that Furman Bisher of the Atlanta Journal, doyen of American golf writers, came to Wales to give Royal Porthcawl the once over. He had never been to Wales before and was so impressed he changed his plans so that he and his wife could do a ten-day tour. The game he played at Cardigan was extolled to his readers as one of the highlights: “With the possible exception of Pebble Beach, the view from the top of the Cardigan course is the finest I’ve seen anywhere in golf”.

Following on from that is this ......

Steve J, I assume you have not played Cardigan much ? I have played it lots as my folks live in Cardigan, and my Uncle was once the Club Captain. Iconic holes ? How about the Par 3 16th ? Both for the views of the beach/sea/estuary and mountains, and also the 2-tier green which is surrounded by bunkers and can be anything from a 9 iron to a 3 iron or rescue if the wind is blowing. 4th hole is a very good par 4 with a wonderful undulating fairway. From T to Green it is one of the best looking Par 4\'s I\'ve played. Green is driveable in the summer with no wind and a good bounce, but stray left or right into the brambles and it\'s good night Vienna !! 11th is a wonderful dog leg left par 4. Wonderful from the T, and then playing to the green with the backdrop of St Dogmaels, the estuary and the Preseli mountains is simply wonderful. Then add the 14th, which again has a great undulating fairway, and a T shot from heaven, looking straight down the hole and the to sea beyond. It\'s a view I could sit and look at all day every day and never get bored of.\\I\'ve played Cardigan lots, and as a former greenkeeper in Surrey, I\'ve played many of Surrey\'s top courses, including all 3 at Wentworth, the 3 W\'s (West Hill / Worplsedon / Woking) both at The Berkshire, Wisley etc etc, and Cardigan is prob the course I would pick if I had to play just one more round in my life.

A nice course especially on a warm sunny day. There are some gorse bushes and most holes are straight and forgiving. Some very interesting par 3s

Had the chance to play twice over some very sunny days in July 13 and can honestly say I am very envious of the local members. This is a stunning course in a truly remarkable location. It was was in fantastic condition and offered a never ending test of accuracy and skill. My favourite hole would be the 14th which is a testing tee off looking down into the most amazing view. I was lucky to play when the the only environmental challenge was the heat and mist but can only imagine how much of a challenge this course must be with a stiff breeze.I can't recommend this course enough and look forward to returning to play it again.

Fine links/parkland course which recently hosted Welsh Ladies Championship and a boys international. A cut above the average course. Friendly pro shop staff and reasonable green fee of £28. Decent meal in excellent clubhouse. Beer £1,90 a pint. Locker room looked quite new with showers. Course is testing in the windy conditions we faced. Would love to play it in more benign conditions. Recommended.

A lovely course tucked on the coast of Ceredigion west wales. The course has some awesome views of the sea and can be very tough in the wind. The greens were in good condition, they were holding well and are a nice size with some extremely tricky putts and the bunkers were excellent condition with nice sand. The fairways were a little burnt and had plenty of rabbit holes about the place. There were plenty of nice holes but for me the par three 16th was my pick, a long par 3 downhill with plenty of bunker coverage. Very hard hole with the wind we had but a great hole none the less.

This 18-hole links golf course situated on the Ceredigion coastline enjoys some of the finest views in Wales.

With fast, undulating greens and sloping fairways, every hole on this golf course is to be respected. A lapse in concentration will be severely punished by treacherous rough and deep bunkers.

The quality of the greens and fairways made this scenic golf course a pleasure to play, and its warm and welcoming clubhouse coupled with the high quality practice facilities made for a very enjoyable days golf.

A superb cliff-top/links style course with greens to die for, some as much as 50 yards deep. It is a little exposed though and the wind can wreck your card on any hole.
A very enjoyable round of golf was had since the weather was kind and the views of Cardigan Bay/Teiffi Estuary were quite superb.
I can't recommend this course too strongly.
