Many years since I played here but had a very enjoyable day even though finished badly on the last three holes. Tricky greens, quite slick. Good food and drink in the 19th, very friendly staff.

Nice parkland course but no stand out holes
A nice course in a County that uint renowned for top quality golfing locations. Gently undulating, with quite a few dog legs to break up the up/down nature of parts of the course. 7th and 8th holes are really nice and 18th provides last hole drama especially in match play. Beautiful course
What a day our society had from start to finish arriving on a spacious car park,then had a nice sandwich with a brew,staff also very friendly.Even though I’m not that good a golfer I thought the course was in very good nick.

Ex Army golf reunion
20 of us played at the Wonderful Burton-on-Trent GC in September this year. It is our 3rd year returning to Burton-on-Trent GC. We are always greeted and welcomed on arrival. The staff in the clubhouse and pro shop are all very friendly and helpful , the food was spot on. A special mention to the club Secretary John Trench, who organised our stay.The course as ever was in great condition and very enjoyable to play. One day I will crack the beautiful greens.
We will be back.

Played two rounds at this club this week and had two great rounds, one or two holes very wet, I have to say the staff are doing a great job. Two day delight
I attend the Burton on Trent course in October with friends, we were made very welcome with exceptional facilities. Nothing was too much trouble for the Club and the staff. I found the course challenging but the hospitality certain made up for that. Thank you one and all!Reviewer Rating

Held our annual army open championship on this course over 03-04 Oct 19. Weather conditions were rather wet under foot however, good drainage helped negate surface water, compliments to the ground staff. Generally the course was in an excellent condition, greens were also in a very good condition with pin positions on some holes were somewhat challenging. Club house facilities once again were excellent, good choice of food and beverages at reasonable prices. Polite bar and catering staff provided a great service. Overall, I fully recommend this course.

Burton on Trent GC

Good test, nice course
Quality test of golf, with some good opportunities to score well. Always worth a visit, and greens always in good nick(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 15.5)

Hidden Gem
Played this course for the first time a very hospitable pro shop and club house. The course how ever was very damp and muddy.Ball cleaning required after every shot, one hole out of commission the second.
A very busy course but a nice round of golf.

Very Whittington-esque.
Lovely course, even better for recording my first ever Hole In One at the 2nd ! Managed to conquer the tough 18th too(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 14.3)

Played here on 10 July 14. The course was in fantastic condition. You have to think your way around and no two holes are the same. The course is fairly open so if you are a little wayward you can usually find your ball. The first and second cut of rough is generally short which is good. The course is very tree lined so although you will find wayward balls you generally have to chip out and take your medicine. The greens are fantastic, and I would say there are very very few straight putts on the course. They are quick too so you really have to leave yourself below the hole to have a chance. Food in the clubhouse was also excellent after the round.

Played Burton on Trent this week. Well after reading other reviews I can only say I am glad I went.
The condition of the course was in fantastic condition, Fairways all in good nick with the approaches looking really good. The Greens are the fastest I have played on all season but the pin positions let the side down for me. Overall a lovely course and one I recommend.

On a small piece of land so not much space between fairways, quite a few holes up and down. Greens normally quick but not much attention paid to surrounds and tees. A lot of ridge & furrow on fairways which can get scalped in the summer. Everywhere shaved down, not much rough or definition. Practice chipping area near first tee looks out of place for a private club.
