A beautiful course in a beautiful location. We had great weather, bright sunshine and no wind. Greens were a little slower than expected but ran true.

Played Bull Bay on a glorious sunny day on Saturday of August Bank Holiday. One of the courses defences, the wind, was not present but even without this the course is an amazing test of golf with every tee shot needing to be accurate to give you a chance of a decent score. The greens were fantastic, very quick, true and smooth. There are several blind shots so if you are playing the course for the first time I recommend a course planner, it is the fourth or fifth time I have played here and even knowing where I should be hitting I struggled! After the round we had lunch in the clubhouse which was excellent and very fairly priced, I can heartly recommend the bacon and cheese burger! The welcome in the pro-shop and bar were very warm. I recommend Bull Bay!

I really like this course, the first time I played it I was surprised nobody I knew had every heard of it. It's in a beautiful location, with great views over the island, out to sea and back towards snowdonia. The course is difficult in places but especially so when the wind is up, which is every time I've played here so far.
The only thing which stops me giving this course excellent overall is the lack of a driving range. They have a practice area where you can hit your own balls, but if this place had a range it could easily be one of the best in the country in my view

I love this course. One of the best I've played on and great value. Would be much better known if it was more accessible.

Fantastic course, challenging in the wind (which is always present). Loads of hidden fairways and blind shots with great greens and lovely scenery. I paid £10 for a twilight, felt like i was robbing them!

Bull Bay Golf Club was designed by Herbert Fowler (Walton Heath, Beau Desert, Saunton) and has played host to a number of high profile golfers and competitions. Another heathland layout, the smooth, sweeping fairways are decorated by rocks and colourful gorse that gives the course its character. The most exposed to the elements of all three, there are sweeping views out to sea and across to the Isle of Man on a clear day, but this course isn’t just about location - there is a lot to think about as you plot your way round. Certainly a course that favours the big hitters, the fairways are inviting and relatively open, but the approach shots are tricky with a number of elevated greens which make distance control challenging for the uninitiated. Memorable holes are plentiful as the course dips and turns from elevated tees to hidden gullies and all play differently as the strength and direction of the wind changes with the elevations. The most unique of them is the par 4 9th, a short dog leg that requires good positioning from the tee to allow yourself a line to the green. The approach crosses a deep valley that runs against the grain of the hole and needs a high flight to stop it on a narrow green. Not challenging in length but devilishly clever in design to make the golfer think their way round with creativity and a deft touch.

Excellent course as the other reviewers said. There is a sign in the changing room warning that on certain holes ravens will steal your balls. We found this to be correct as on the 6th a raven swooped down and plucked my partner's ball from the fairway. This happened to her a further 3 times during the round! They only seemed interested in her coloured balls as they left my white ones alone. Apparently spraying Lynx Africa on your ball every couple of holes will prevent them stealing them. They drop them in an inaccessible area of a nearby stream. We were also told that rabbits and feral cats living on the course were partial to playing with golf balls. Fortunately rule 18-1 'interference by an outside agency' means that besides losing a few balls, none of this will affect your round.

one of the most stunning golf courses in north wales this heathland style course is great fun and a challange right from the start with many blind shots undulating greens and of course the wind coming off the irish sea. great views to be had right the way through the round both out to sea and back accross the rolling welsh countryside

Played this and a couple of other local courses using the Anglesey golf pass. £79 for 5 rounds - excellent value.
Plays like a links course. The gorse in unforgiving. You'll need to be accurate off the tee. Personally I lost a few balls.
Clubhouse is excellent with v friendly natives.
