What the club says: This picturesque parkland course was established in 1973 and offers a markedly new challenge from every tee with no two holes the same. It encapsulates the surrounding landscape beautifully to create an undulating and testing round of golf. Mature trees line the fairways making accuracy, rather than distance, essential. Golfers will be rewarded for using good course management and taking risks at the right time. The signature holes are the par 3 4th, a 213 yard carry over water will test even the lowest handicappers, and the par 5, 561 yard 11th, unreachable in two, with your third shot over water with OOB tight on the right!

Weekend Away
Played Saturday afternoon, and Sunday Morning.27/28 July. The course was in Very good condition indeed. Narrow fairways on quite a few holes, so need to be accurate on them, otherwise you get punished. Saying that, there are a few with plenty of space. Friendly staff in the pro shop and bar area, making you feel very welcome. Rooms were fantastic and clean, with the food in the restaurant good. Overall, would recommend playing/staying there. Bonus wasthe weather was lovely, which makes a change for Wales. LOL.Reviewer Rating

Great Condition
12 of us played here and we really enjoyed it.The bacon rolls kept us going up and down the hills.
Hole 13 is a fun Par 3 over a lake.

Local course, very good

Recent visit
Lovely weather and nice looking course, until you played. Tee boxes all uneven , rock hard and poor state.Greens rock hard, not watered, some patchy, ball was bobbling.
No Marshall or starter so everyone starts when they want.
Would feel cheated paying over 700£ a year for that.
Staff lovely and helpful, lovely setting

Excellent course
My home course but would recommend to all standards of golfer.Winter golf at the moment but the greens are still good. Good value for money.

More course information needed
Staff were very helpful. Pull trolleys and buggies available but no electric trolleys.Course including greens in very good condition.
However, disappointed to find that such a prestigious club does not have a course planner, especially as the course is quite convoluted.
Little or no signage on the course (eg layout of the hole on each tee) doesn't help.

Nice course, nice people, nor enough information about hazards, distance etc, more distance markers please especially 100yds. Went in to unseen bunkers etc because nothing on card or at the tees wil play again but please produce more course information

My home course I play it every week sometimes twice. I would recommend a visit possibly an overnight stay at the hotel and play 2 days.

Nice course. Well thought out so you have to think your way round in places.
For January it was in excellent condition, particularly the greens which were superb.
You need to follow the sign posts to get you round the course. I'm looking forward to playing it again, now that I've got an idea of the terrain.
