What the club says: Established in 1910 Bargoed golf club is regarded as having one of the most spectacular scenic locations for a golf course in South Wales
Its mountain location provides panoramic views in all directions notably the views from the 4th fairway through the Darren valley to the Brecon beacons beyond, and as members often comment an idyllic place for a great round of golf.

A gem of a course

Even in the winter its a great course
Even with winter tees and a few winter temporary greens its was a pleasure to play.(Round played: Jan 2022 - Score: 85 Handicap: 15.8)

Mountain top course but mainly on the flat. Greens are always quick and holds up to the rain well. Some crossing fairways where care is needed. Club house is ok and food reasonable.

This is a lovely little course played through the valley with stunning views on every hole.
The course is very well cared for and the members are quit rightly very proud of their course.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, interesting, challenging, friendly game of golf.

A very nice welcome, the course itself is well worth a visit, well maintained and excellent greens. the only downside are the one or two holes that criss cross.

A very nice course enjoyed it very much, very forgiving if you hit a few loose drives. the members there were helpful and made me and the three guys who i was playing with feel very welcome iwould play there again
