Very good course would recomend it to anyone and i would most definitly go and play it again hopefuly sometime soon.

Course in good condition enjoyed a good day with a couple of friends. As visitors found it difficult to find the next tee box at times as there are very few direction markers. None the less we had a good day playing the hamilton course.

Excellent staff, pleasant and helpfull. Course was in good condition for the amount of wet weather we are having.

Muddy today. OK course. Some tough holes. No food available after round (finished 18 at 5pm).

A generally well-laid out course, not overly long but with some good shape and definition to the course. Was in fairly good condition when we played afer some bad weather recently. Reasonably open, so if you need to be really wild off the tee to run into major problems.
A big plus is the chance to play on a Saturday at lunchtime unlike most courses here.
Finding the first tee is not straightforward though!!

Great facilities for practicing and the Hamilton course is in great summer condition. Par3's are all tough long and short par 4's and tricky par 5's..

Blackwood's Par 3 'Temple' Course and Championship 'Hamilton' Course are open to the public to play, there aren't memberships as such. This means that prices are fairly good, and there are plenty of offers on the price of a round, eg. The Sundowner after 4pm means that you pay £9 for Temple and £15 for Hamilton on weekday evenings during the summer.
Blackwood is probably most used for its driving range for beginners to try their hand, but the Hamilton course is excellent. It lies about a mile away from the Highly regarded Clandeboye courses in the same mature estate. Id say there isnt a better municipal course in the east of Northern Ireland.
