Reviewed Oct 10 2016 by Neil M - rated 2 out of 5 Hole layout is a bit confusing and unclear, greens were in poor condition with lots of drainage holes all over them, made putting near impossible. Expected more from the course for the price of ?30 a round. Quite a challenging course though but i would not be rushing back in a hurry to play it.

Reviewed Jul 10 2008 by David W - rated 4 out of 5 Blackwood's Par 3 'Temple' Course and Championship 'Hamilton' Course are open to the public to play, there aren't memberships as such. This means that prices are fairly good, and there are plenty of offers on the price of a round, eg. The Sundowner after 4pm means that you pay £9 for Temple and £15 for Hamilton on weekday evenings during the summer.
Blackwood is probably most used for its driving range for beginners to try their hand, but the Hamilton course is excellent. It lies about a mile away from the Highly regarded Clandeboye courses in the same mature estate. Id say there isnt a better municipal course in the east of Northern Ireland.

Only one truely memorable hole, it's still worth a visit. With a fully equiped driving range, membership at this club is well worth considering.Course (layout/challlenge)

Very good course, greens were difficult to read as the game went on I was able to read and capitalise the reading game. Very long pars, kind of disappointed I did not take advantage of with terrible drive!(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 110 Handicap: 30.4)
