What the club says: Blackwood has 2x 18 hole courses, The Temple Course and The Hamilton Course
The Hamilton Course is set in attractive woodland lined with gorse and water features with spectacular views of the Clandeboye Estate and Helen’s Tower. Water features come into play on 11 holes and each hole is unique, demanding a different type of shot. The USGA Greens give scope and makes the greens a pleasure to putt on. The signature hole is the Par 3 12th hole. There is a diversity of wildlife and a family of swans breeding for the last 2 years

Long Course
Very good course, greens were difficult to read as the game went on I was able to read and capitalise the reading game. Very long pars, kind of disappointed I did not take advantage of with terrible drive!(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 110 Handicap: 30.4)

Hole layout is a bit confusing and unclear, greens were in poor condition with lots of drainage holes all over them, made putting near impossible. Expected more from the course for the price of ?30 a round. Quite a challenging course though but i would not be rushing back in a hurry to play it.

Course is nicely designed, with holes dog legging both ways. Greens have still quite a bit of sand on them but will improve in coming weeks. Yellow tee boxes were fine. Facilities are very good and include driving range. Overall I'd give it 6.5/10.
