Beautiful mixture of mature parkland and heath. Relatively short (6100 yds) but tight and accuracy off the tee is critical for a decent chance of a second shot. Some truly memorable holes such as the Par three 4th and 10th and the longer 8th, 14th and 16th. Great clubhouse with views over the 10th, good beer and food.

A lovely golf course - built for long and short hitters a like. Not long but never the less challenging. Excellent quick greens make putting a premium on this course.

No bad but no great

It is a pretty course with some interesting holes.
I expected it to be tighter than it was but a few holes seemed to be crammed in a bit with tee boxes quite close greens.
Fairways were very hard and mostly brown, a few unlucky bounces were had.
Clubhouse was very nice with great views in the upstairs bar.

I've always enjoyed playing this course, although I find it a little tight, with some of the tees being very close to the previous greens, especially on the back nine. The greens are usually superb.

Played here on a Sunday morning with a member 5 temps and ankle deep in mud. Greens were very slow and bumpy.

Unfortunately the course suffers from Badger damage to certain fairways and bunker surrounds. Also there was a lot of bare grass areas where seeding was inadequate. If the ground maintenance could be addressed it would be a very good layout to play.
