Won’t be visiting again in a hurry ????
A nine hole golf course you play twice, with some of the ‘back-9’ off of marginally different tee positions.
No long holes.
Greens in OK condition.
Smell of sewage was very strong on the last visit (must be sewage processing plant nearby?)
Played here on Thursday as a visiting 3-ball, and were made to feel unwelcome by staff member operating pro-shop and club bar... having finished our round we went to the club house and were told that the bar closes at 9pm... we pointed out it was still only 8.30pm, and that the bar still had several members drinking in it... and we were told that we couldn’t get a drink now as it takes him half-an-hour to lock up ????
The Club Secretary needs to sort out the attitude of the staff towards visitors! We won’t be going back and we will ensure that everyone we know avoids this course too!

Booked round on teeofftimes.co.uk at a discounted £10.00. Good 9 hole course for higher handicappers or beginners. Wide fairways, not much water and not many out of bounds. Well established trees though so missing fairways can result in no shot too green and a fair amount of bunkers.

9 holes - fairly short with some interesting positional holes, greens were OK in early September - not as good as i had heard, as it was 9 holes it was pretty busy even at 5pm on a Sunday evening, lukewarm welcome in proshop, didn't go in clubhouse as it was late but looked nice.

Fantastic 9 hole course which you can play 18 on, of course, some really good par 4's and greens are in good condition.

Tidy course suited for all standards
Ashton is a great 9 hole golf course with varied tee shots for the ?back 9?. Suitable for all types of golfers, beginners to low handicappers. 2 of the holes are adjacent to the river Mersey whilst there are a couple of very challenging holes making club selection important. A new spike bar just opened, give this tidy course a visit!

Nice course, worth playing
First time playing Ashton-On-Mersey. Impressive looking clubhouse for a 9 hole course. Friendly welcome in Pro Shop. Course quite short with only 1 par 3 which is slightly longer on 2nd nine and one par 5 (second nine only). Nice finishing hole towards clubhouse to elevated green. Course itself in nice condition, greens true but not too quick. Although only a nine holer worth playing for sure.

Hidden little gem, wouldn't even know it was there, tucked away in a housing estate. Only 9 holes played twice, with slightly longer tee box on second 9. In great condition with nice mature tree line.

Welcoming
Fairly steady but accessible course. A little lack of character with only a solitary par 3 and par 5 but challenging greens tucked away in the corners. A little soft in patches but greens in fine condition

Nice course - just 9 holes played twice with some different tee boxes. Interesting use of a small space.
