disappointed with course ,after all the good stories i have heard about it ,,played a 3 ball and have to say this course was not u to standard ,,hardly no sand in bunkers ,the greens where patchy and played very slow ,,,i heard it has been taken over by new owners and talking to other people around the course has been let go and can do with a serious ugrade ,,also was due to tee off at 10.50 am got there at 9.30 ordered breakfast and waited till 1040 to arrive ,,had to rush it down to make tee off time ,,

Great little course but poor after game experience
Played as a three ball on weekday afternoon.Warm welcome and good service in pro shop. Told that course was not busy so we could go out slightly early if we wanted. Course itself in very good condition with neat fairways and good greens.that rolled beautifully. Some really interesting holes and a tough challenge due to well placed water hazards and ditches. The course has plenty of wild life to enjoy and this adds to the overall enjoyment of your round. Despite this our overall experience was spoiled when we tried to get a drink afterwards. Having dropped our kit back in our cars we were quite looking forward to sitting on the terrace and watching other golfers finish their rounds. Not a problem you would have thought at 4.45pm in the afternoon. Instead we and the group who came off before us were advised by a particularly vacuous woman who claimed to be the bar manager that the bar was shut and we should beable to get a drink at one of several local hostelries. No amount of cajoling would change her mind so off we had to go. A sad end to what had up until then been a plesant day.Reviewer Rating

Course was very good but greens were like a farmers field very poor.

First played this course in Feb 06 on a cold and saturated day so never got a good feel for the course,although the location is superb and very quiet.
Played again Mar 07 in good weather but was really disappointed with the course.The greens were full of very crude ruts and the course was still very soggy although in the middle of a dry and mild spell of weather.
The layout of this course also needs to be looked at as you double back on yourself a number of times.
Used 2 for 1 vouchers so we got value for money 25 pound for 2 of us,but I couldnt justify paying 25 pound for 1.
This could be a little gem of a course but it is poorly maintained and looks liable to get waterlogged quite often.

Played this course several times but on this occasion found the greens in really poor condition compared to others for the time of year. Look like they need some work doing to get them to the usual standard.

Good course. Very challenging and not much margin for error. The weather was nice but very windy. Lost 7 balls so you can guess what my score was! Nice people and felt welcomed. The greens were in poor condition though.
