Surly service at driving range.
Arrived at driving range at just after 8.10pm to hit some balls having noted at entrance that the range is open until 9pm. When I enquired why the machine was not working a rather surly young man told me that the machine is switched off at 8pm. "It says it on the website". I asked if he could make an exception and switch it on but he said "we can't". As I write this I note he has locked the entrance door at 8.25pm. Not as good as it used to be
First time I have played there for a few years and I was very disappointed , not being looked after like it used to be . Tree branches left across paths , tee positions in daft places , too many dog walkers all over the course , twigs etc on some greensReviewer Rating

I realize that clubs want to recoup some of the losses suffered in the past year, but 5h20 to play a round of golf is ridiculous. And when the group in front holding you up won't let you play through because they already had let 3 other groups through, it is not acceptable. They have to realize that they have to keep up with the group in front of them. Also, the greens were full of pitch marks because nobody seems to know that they have to repair their pitch marks. Come on Altrincham Golf Club, get your act together.????

Pretty parkland course
Course to suit all handicappers. Requires accuracy. Course in reasonable condition but greens need some attention. Probably due just opened following covid 19 lockdown(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 106 Handicap: 25.8)

Poor condition and slow play
Greens have not responded well to lockdown, very patchy as they must have missed spring treatment. Biggest problem at Alty is slow play, a four ball two groups ahead of us had four holes ahead of them with no onus to go quicker and when we commented they just said “we’re not very good” would rather pay more and play elsewhere.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 15)

Course was very busy so pace of play was slow. Lots of dog walkers. Saw two people playing topless (both men)

Decent course with friendly & staff members
A decent enough course with greens in reasonable condition but fairways very brown with the hot weather. Good to get a round in, though fairly flat and not particularly memorable. Worth a round, with friendly staff and members.Reviewer Rating

Uncomfortable playing
Damp ground, lots of standing water, but playable course. V busy course so there was a lot of waiting around per hole, so couldn't get into any sort of rhythm. Main issue was the pedestrians on the course, they didn't seem to be worried about their own safety. Two girls even walked down the middle of the fairway as we were about to tee off!!(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 107 Handicap: 19.9)

Some nice holes on the course just a pity the fairways are not to a great standered, most greens where in good condition though.Doesnt seem to be any dress code, people walking around in jeans and flowered shorts, dont know if we where unlucky but got stuck behind a few plonkers who would spend ages looking for balls on every hole and finishing there cigs and drinks on the tees with no concideration to the rest of the course that was being held up.

This is just standard Municiple golf course. The greens are in good condition but the fairways need work. Will agree with having to watch out for sliced balls, Toz nearly hit people on every hole.

Local municipal course, in reasonable order, however as a municipal its tread to a large extent and this shows with the condition of the fairways and bunkers. Good for practise but not a test of your abilities.

The course has improved since the new Greenkeeper arrived. The fairways and bunkers are looking much better and the greens (apart from one or two) are in excellent condition.

Nice course. Very open fairways. Difficult when a lot of people from outside the golf course go walking around with their dogs.

Not the best but far from the worst
Enjoyable round of golf that rewards accurate approach shots with bunkers aplenty coming into play if you fancy attacking the pin. Gulleys and streams on several holes need careful approach shots too. I found the greens acceptable speed wise even if there was a lot of sand due to the top dressing....perhaps too much. 18 quid for the round was OK Other people have commented about slow play and that was also the case for our round which does happen on some courses admittedly but having people play their ball right up behind you when they can see you are waiting for the green ahead to clear isn't the most courteous thing to do. More signs concerning slow play need to be erected.Reviewer Rating
