Don’t waste your time
Nightmare of a golf course, not one part of the course is well maintained, the greens and pin placements are unplayable. They are more concerned about taking money from people than actually investing in the course and its members. Massive price increase for no reason whatsoever for members. Pace of play is always shocking as they let too many societies on the course and no one seems to fix it. Would never recommend anyone to waste their money here.Reviewer Rating

Golf is 3rd behind restaurant and fletchers bar
I understand the course in its state is quite new but it seems the investment at Allerton manor is more interested in the stables restaurant and Fletchers bar rather than the golf. There has been many changes to the course since I last played here, but the investment in the course should be the priority. Hopefully it will get better.Reviewer Rating

Great Course
Great course. The greens are firm & true, in good condition. Still work to be done following the opening of the new holes but you can clearly see it is improving all the time & it will be one of the best around.Reviewer Rating

Society trip
After reading previous reviews I was concerned the course was going to be in poor condition. Not a bit of it, the new design is obvious to see and will take some time to mature but overall the course was dry , firm and very playable. The greens were quick and true . The facilities however do not open until 9 with portaloo toilets. Overall I’d certainly play again. My 9 shots were soon swallowed up and a 14 over with 6 three putts was disappointing.Reviewer Rating

Last played 15 years ago
Played this course 15 years ago, it is hardly recognisable to what it was as they have moved a huge amount of earth to mold it into the course it is today. As with any course that has been redesigned the ground will take time to settle, so there are areas that could have been better. A huge amount of effort and resources have been used to ensure that the course will remain open even during the wettest of winters, the proof will be in the pudding. The full 18 holes are available to play now, which was whilst not the longest a good challenge all the same.I saw plenty of green keepers, so I am sure the course will improve over time.

Really poor drainage across the hole course made 5 holes unplayable. To charge 30 pounds with 2 holes not in play is unacceptable!Reviewer Rating

Winter Tees & temporary greens
I feel that they should only be charging around £25 due to the state the course is in, temporary tees and greens should mean a reduced price. Also only 16 holes available and the signs on were the tee is for holes 14-15-16 is terrible.
But saying that when the work is finished it will be a good course i feel

Not worth the money
£40 for 16 holes absolutely ridiculous!Course is dreadful, the changes they have made are poor, greens inconsistent the new greens built are firm but slow the old greens are soft waterlogged and poor, the 2nd green had rabbit holes throughout the new greens had turf patch jobs done to a very poor quality maybe the head greenkeeper needs to look at what he’s producing because it’s poor! The final hole with all the rockery in front of it looks nice but full of weeds and looks scruffy! Bunkers not raked and needs to be GUR!
The winter tees were uneven so when placed in the greenkeepers have not levelled them very well, ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
