Fist time to play the course at Aldenham has some interesting holes bit overall similar to may course nearby do nothing exceptional.

Nice course. Very tight in places, so you need to be good off the tee. Each hole is lined be lovely mature trees

Completely different conditions from the sodden course back in Feb now very dry. Couldnt be more different. Cant be easy to manage

Quality Course
Aldenham is a hidden gem tucked away just of junction 5 on the M1. A well established club will provide you with enough challenges to not get complacent. Really enjoy the layout as after the first hole you feel like you are away from all the hustle & bustle. Decent facilities and has a lovely 9 hole course too.Reviewer Rating

Great work being done to keep the course playable. 9 temp greens although better than what I?d expected. The flooded fields adjacent to the course tell their own story. Less soft underfoot than other courses visited of late & nearby courses closed. Greens & fairways well maintained. But was informed that will take at least 2 weeks of dry weather before normal conditions return

Still very wet after December rain. No trolleys allowed, six temporary greens and several tee mats despite the claim on their website 'Due to the care and attention the course receives even in the worst of winters there is little or no need for temporary greens.' No advice of course conditions on the website

Good Course
Played a society here today 02/06 and was very good. Excellent course and superb greens. Only thing that let it down was the tee boxes. They were awful. All uneven and all up and down. Not a flat one out there. Hospitality and food was great.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 19.1)

Please cut the fairways
The fairways have been left uncut for a few days/week and its hard to see where the fairway stops and rough starts. The course also played long cause of that. The greens were very good and fast but the round was let down by over long fairways..Reviewer Rating

Aldenham, a Hertfordshire Gem
For the time of year when we played Aldenham, all I can say is, well done to all the green-keeping staff. Tees, fairways and greens were in excellent condition for Mid November. I really enjoy playing Aldenham as it has some wonderful challenging holes, that take some thought to play. Favourite holes have to be the 1st,4th,8th,11th,15th,16th and 18th. All good holes, each having their own problems. Play the course to find out what they are. You won't regret it. The pro-shop is a little small, but has what you'd need, balls, tees etc and the clubhouse serves some great food.Reviewer Rating
