There are a lot of steep climbs, I'm a young lad so I didn't mind but I wouldn't recommend this course for someone who suffers with knee problems or mobility issues unless you're using a buggy. My knees were aching at the end of the round and I don't have knee problems! Disappointed by the noise of the airport, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th I couldn't hear a word my partner said, the noise was deafening.
Thoroughly enjoyed my round today, I'll definitely play again some time as the fees offer great value for money and the overall condition of the course was superb. Score: 83.

Very playable when most in the area are not
We played Tall Pines on Sunday, April 7th. At a time when even the links courses have not been open all the time and the inland courses are so muddy they are frequently closed and/or carry only, Tall Pines stands out as being tremendously well drained and with a visitor green fee of £25, amazing value for money. The greens were fluffy and slow but there were no temporary greens. Of course you have the unique experience of seeing the airliners taking off from Bristol Airport but that's part of what makes this club different. The course is well laid out with some particularly challenging par 3s. A great option when your own course is a mudfest!Reviewer Rating

Course in good condition
This course was in excellent condition considering the weather we had that week . All greens open and all fairways had been well looked after. The club house has had a recent renovation which is a credit to the owner. The bar did shut early which was a shame other than that bar staff all helpful and good atmosphere. Will look at maybe joining next year.Reviewer Rating

Nice variety of holes
Awesome little course next to Bristol airport. More undulating than one would imagine from google maps. The course has a nice variety of golf holes from long par fours to short tighter holes and dog legs. The ability to shape the ball in the air is a massive advantage on this course as even on par 3 trees make for fair obstacles. Some people might dislike the proximity of the airport. However I think it gives the course character. Although when the wind is in the wrong directions you can smell the aviation fuel which is unpleasant. The staff are useful and the lunch I had there was really nice. It is a shame they don’t have 100 yard markers but the 150 markers are consistent and staked so they are easy to spot. I paid £16 for this round of golf on a twilight rate which is good value, I wouldn't pay £28 though which is what was expected before 2:00. There was a competition in front of the pair in front of me and were never allowed to play through, this course as multiple bottlenecks where you will cue. The pace of play was slow due to the number of 3 & 4 balls in the competition .(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 97 Handicap: 18.4)
