When I originally saw this course on google, I thought the proximity to the airport would become really annoying. However it was quite fun watching the planes between shots. On two holes it is probably worth waving at the passengers to see if they wave back. The course has a good number of ball cleaners and has 150 yard marker posts.
The course has a really nice mix of holes with a surprising but gentle amount of undulations with some raised greens. Trees are the major hazard on this course as there are several which are just in the way. If you can shape the golf ball intentionally you will do really well here. The course has 6 par 3s on from the yellow tees but it doesn’t seem excessive as the holes are challenging. There are some holes where a conservative iron from the tee is better than whacking the driver, but generally the fairways are generous and you would struggle to get O.O.B unless you have a bad hook in which case you might be playing your next shot from the runway.
£15 after 5pm is very good money for this course but I personally wouldn't pay the full green fee.

Considering the rain we have had the course was in excellent condition, fairways were still running and the greens although a little slow, which is to be expected this time of year were true. The only small thing was the 19th, we(7 of us) usually get cheesy chips or something hot to share, the kitchen was closed and no other food e.g pies, pasties were available, some crisps/nuts were but not a large choice.

You can actually see passengers in the planes as they taxi past. yes its noisy but the course is a little gem.Generous fairways lull you into a false sense of security. The greens played well and there are interesting holes on both 9's.
The clubhouse is bijou and a little dated. Food was homemade and generous portions. Well worth a visit
