Tim Hall Scoops Foremost Professional of the Year Award
Nike Golf brand ambassador Tim Hall was named Foremost Professional of the Year at the Foremost Golf Awards which took place during the Golf Industry trade show in Harrogate last week.
Tim, 32, is head professional at Ross-on-Wye golf club and has been a Nike brand ambassador for a year and a Foremost member since 2009. In 2011 Tim picked up the award for Foremost Elite Marketing Partner Professional of the Year and is the only Foremost member to have won both categories.
Said Tim Hall, “It’s a massive honour to win the award and follow in the footsteps of fellow Swoosh staffer Dan Webster who won last year. There were some fantastic professionals in the category and to get the award makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Being a Swoosh staffer helps me deliver great performing and innovative Nike Golf products to my members. It also helps me share my belief in the brand and it gives me a very unique opportunity to help promote Nike Golf through social media and other forms of marketing. I can deliver a consistent, dynamic message to the consumer and it has had a really positive impact on my business.”
This is the second year in a row that a Nike brand ambassador has taken home the prestigious award, with Dan Webster from St Anne’s Links winning in 2012.
Said Angus Moir, Nike Golf EMEA general manager, “Tim has been a brand ambassador for just over a year and is a very strong supporter of Nike Golf. We are lucky to have him on the Swoosh advisory team. He embraces change and technology that can further the game of golf and his dedication to the cause is commendable. There is no one more deserving of this award.”
Said Andy Martin, Foremost Golf’s marketing director, “Tim ticks all the boxes when looking for a modern green-grass professional. He engages with both his club his membership but fully embraces the Foremost group’s philosophy in that the professional is ‘Good For Golf’ by taking the sport into his local community and teaching golf at 15 primary schools and three secondary schools.”
