AT&T Peeble Beach National Pro-AmGolf bet tips are this week assessing the golf betting opportunities in the field for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, taking place across 3 courses – Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula.

This week’s 3 courses are all mid-placed in terms of difficulty. Accuracy off the tee is not particularly important here; the tournament will be won and lost on the greens. Putting is critical across all 3 courses as the birdie opportunities will be plentiful and need to be taken. Whilst making a host of birdies is essential, equally important will be using those putting skills to hole clutch pars and minimise dropped shots.

Players to watch...

Brandt Snedeker (14/1) has recorded 3 top 3 finishes in his 4 events this year, lifting him to a career high of 6th in the world rankings. He ranks 1st in terms of both birdie averages and par breakers for 2013. At present he lies 25th in the strokes gained putting ranks but he topped those figures last year and as the season progresses his consistency with the putter will shine.

Phil Mickelson (15/2) a multiple winner at this event, including being the defending champion – the course clearly suits his game. As for form....did you see last week? Enough said.

David Lingmerth (225/1) a rookie who started life on tour with 8 straight rounds in the 60’s before missing the cut last week. Ranking 2nd in both birdie average and par breakers, achieved through his excellent (3rd ranked) putting, we think he could have an each-way chance this week.

Brian Gay (60/1) a combined -47 from his 3 events in 2013 – including a -25 winning score at the Humana Challenge. Confidence is high at the moment and if he can play to his rankings of 5th in birdie average and 20th strokes gained putting then he has a chance.

Jimmy Walker (45/1) has made his last 14 consecutive cuts, stretching back to August 2012. His stats for 2013 don’t particularly light up just yet but he is a good putter (finishing 16th in the 2012 rankings) and a solid all-rounder.

Brian Stuard (150/1) 2 top 10 finishes in his first 3 events this year. He has achieved these results through good putting – 5th in the rankings. He will need to keep that up this week and if he does then he will fire himself up the leaderboard – worth an each-way punt.

Chris Kirk (90/1) had made 13 consecutive cuts before missing out at the Humana Classic. He came back with a T24 last week so we are happy to put Humana down as just a mini blip. 5th in the strokes gained putting rankings and 17th in terms of birdie averages. We think that he could go well this week.
