You will be hearing a lot about the new TaylorMade Qi4D drivers this year - especially with that name set to feature in the bags of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood in 2026.

Whether it be the Qi4D, Qi4D LS, Qi4D Max or Qi4D Max Lite, there is a model that has been engineered for every golfer, but you might be wondering if they meet the considerable hype.

TaylorMade New Qi4D Driver

The best way of determining that would be comparing them to the launch of 12 months ago, the Qi35. Back then, Golfshake Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall tested and reviewed that previous generation for us, including discovering just how they measured up against the Callaway Elyte

But does the new Qi4D surpass the Qi35? Ryan has put them head-to-head in a full indoor test on Trackman. While studying their look at address and describing the key tech changes, what most intrigued us was the chance to see the tale of the tape between the core and LS models of the Qi4D and Qi35 in terms of measuring differences in ball speed, launch, spin rates, carry distance and dispersion.

You can find out what the numbers said by watching our new video below!

Let's take a deeper glance at the new TaylorMade Qi4D drivers and what you can expect from them.

How Good Are TaylorMade's New Qi4D Drivers?

It's the carbon face that makes the new Qi4D drivers distinctive. That's where the speed comes from. Carbon is lighter than titanium and TaylorMade's engineers were able to prove that this material would efficiently produce more speed.

The faces of these drivers also boast a reengineered roll radius that has been crafted to offer more consistent spin across a greater variety of impact positions. This means that the spin rates are more reliable, whether you strike a shot low or high on the face, and not just the centre.

Golfers can also take advantage of an improved Speed Pocket that heightens flexibility across the bottom of the face, while these drivers also feature TaylorMade’s 60x Carbon Twist Face design.
